Older designs. These were more zany, experimental, and illustrative than the later ones. Created under the philosophy of "herp-a-derp let's see what happens."--
Silver's outfit was made to wear color palettes that match classic Sonic levels.

I love the designs of Silver and Super Blaze! Silver looks like a bumbling time traveler and Super Blaze looks... a tad psychotic, but it's all good. I never picked up on the fact that Maria was supposed to be sick until recently. Your design makes it more obvious than in the game, where she looked like she was ready to frolic through meadows.

Silver is a Sonic character made to be similar to Trunks from DBZ and pretty much exists because the programers wanted to make use of their glitchy physics coding.
He's a time traveling unintelligent psychic from a post apocalyptic alternate future.
Silver is notorious among the fans for having an enormous pot leaf shaped tuft of quills on his head, chirping "it's no use" ad-nauseam, and making up ridiculous code names for things for no reason like "Iblis Trigger".
He'd be the coolest character ever if we weren't supposed to take him seriously.

Robotnik's new redesign is roughly half complete. Though I'm not sure when I'll be able to upload it since my work load is going to be increasing.

Okay, I'll try to go through these one by one.
*Silver- Whut. Is. That. This is soooo much different then is current design. It's awesome, but really freaking weird. I guess that is why I quite like it, but still. It is awesome that he looks sorta like an intro stage on one of the games on the genesis. The mind's idea on his forehead is a nice touch. However, I don't get how the design you gave him is supposed to reflect him as a character.
*Blaze- While I prefer the Eastern style on the more finalized design, this works pretty good too. This Blaze looks awesome because she looks like a Victorian Circus Carnie. I don't even know what that is supposed to mean but I came up with the analogy anyways.
*Super Blaze- Brilliant

At some point I tried to make Blaze and Silver look like they were a part of a super animal circus, because post apocalyptic worlds need their escapist entertainment. Obviously it drifted too far away from the source material.
I completely forgot about the super blaze pic. Might go back and finish it one day.

Given that maria is a terminally ill character, I wanted to see how severe I could make the symptoms of her fictional illness without making her look too old. My later pictures of her were toned down for obvious reasons.
