Description
The sequel to the Slime one: neslug.deviantart.com/art/GSC-…Also known as Babble.
I've been working on the hack and come to the conclusion that finishing it is too much work. I may release the unfinished version later but right now, not many things have been changed yet.

Love the clean style! Just to keep note of, this seems to drop the 'dopey/stupid' vibe the original design had in favor of a more clean and cute look. The main reason for this is the increased size of the eyes in relation to the mouth and larger face compared to the 'body'(do slimes have bodies). Not that this makes this bad or even less good just more something to keep in mind going further. Sorry if i offended you I still think this is great.

The GSC style is very particular about exaggerating the head and face sizes of the monsters, though not to the extremes of the old RGBY style. With such a low-res screen, the titular characters really had to pop out and catch people's attention. Nothing wrong with the smaller eyes closer together, but I just don't think they would work here.
At the time of making this in 2015, that was my stance and it'd still look basically the same if I had made it today.

Thanks for responding! That's perfectly understandable as I stated more of note then criticism. To be fair DQ sprites even as something as hi res as a DS always had an issue with character expression so that's a fair take a way.

I'll probably try to iron out a few game crashing glitches caused by the custom graphics before I release anything. Will post a journal entry about it when that's done.
