Description
I think the title is aptly named. But really, this was originally a torso practice with other sketches that I eventually decided to turn into a character painting. But because of how long I'd spent rendering out the skin I didn't want to undo all my hard work by painting over it, so he's topless!Good practice in painting skin though, but now I want to focus on clothing and some more environments. The character is my OC Treyce O:!

Thank you so much Tsuki qwq
Well, that's the idea. They glow so he can attract more attention from the guards, makes it more fun when running away from them XD

You're welcome
I just imagine him running away at night from the guards and it's freezing as hell but he pretends like it's ok because he wants to keep his shirt off

Gimme dem skills bby.
Ahhh but no really, it's been fun watching you grow as an artist, even if I've been watching pretty silently. Your paintings are just beautiful and you have so much potential. I can't wait to see where you go with them and what kind of journey they take you on.

Thank you so much qwq <3 Yeah the ride so far have been rough and tedious.. But I'm glad to say all the hard work was worth it. And I can see the major improvements in your work too since I first met you XD Weird how that works isn't it? It's strange to think about..

You're very welcome! It is a long and difficult road we've been down, and there's a lot more we have to trudge through too, but it's worth it seeing the strides we've made~ Thank you so much, it's always nice when people recognize your improvements isn't it? I'm very happy the both of us have moved forward and are continuing to do so instead of remaining stagnant!

But just think how far we've come, and how much it's been worth it. Honestly.. I still remember the very first manga face I drew back in secondary school, about four years ago.. Wow has time flown past.. I still have that face somewhere, I should show it to you sometime, see how rubbish I was XD
And yeah definitely, people recognising your progress just shows how much better you appear to everyone even after all that hardship. Alot of non artists think being an artist is easy.. All you have to do is draw everyday.. But they don't consider the physical and emotional implications it brings along with it. It's one thing to be determined to get better.. Your body has to get used to the work, as well as building up the mileage and muscle memory it takes to be good. No matter how much you want it it will take a long time to get to that point.
And just imagine where we'll both be in five years? We could be working professionals :'D

I was just looking over some of my old art and trying to redraw it to validate how far I've come. I have to remind myself sometimes that in just three years time my skills have grown and developed exponentially. Otherwise I sit here and mope about how much farther I still have to go. Aha.
Art is hard. It's extremely hard and it's very taxing on a person both physically and mentally. We have to take such good care of our drawing arm or we're screwed. Which I never did and ended up with carpal tunnel from my other hobbies that strain my wrists. Whoops.
Oh man I was looking at some of the first art I uploaded here six years ago and I just had to sit back and take it in for a moment. You really do forget about your past art until you dig it up again and it's a crazy and overwhelming feeling when you do. You more than likely will be a professional artist. You're well on your way already!
And I've love to share old art with you sometime. You can laugh about how terribad I was with my animu style from forever ago. LOL
