Description
Second part of my wing drawing process. I use the same process for every type of wing but the shapes vary between environmental adaptations.ΒThis is the underside of the wing, the dorsal is the top!

Hahah that's true XD I get it. Β I'm still looking for mine, but I am slowly getting there.
And I've been copying other peoples styles a bit with permission of course, but after doing that for 2 years now I finally found things that I call my own style.
I'm more sketchy like and kind of semi-realism.
And I also noticed that some people almost have the same style, while they don't know each other XD it's funny when you see that and realize.
I hope to completely find my own style.

I'm so glad I have my own style, although I'm sure there are others out there who are similar, it's hard to get a unique style these days that hasn't already been overdone many times. You learn by copying things, that's the whole nature of learning tbh
Many people are inspired by the same things xD So it's not uncommon to have similar styles :')

I have that too! I'm still developing my own style, but I do realize that mine is sometimesΒ similar to others, but I also saw that in instagram and twitter, kind of students from Sakimichan, who than follow them through Patreon, they all kind of have the same style since they learned it from her and her studies.Β
And yes it's true that you learn by copying things, I've done that for some years now and I have to say you learn a lot faster than when you have to discover things yourself.

It will always look like someone else's, because that's how humans learn. We take what we enjoy most from each piece and put our own twist on it. When we get to a point where we inspire others, our work is then taken and twisted to suit the likings of other artists xDΒ

For this one I used a 0.05 pigment liner, but otherwise I would just use a ballpoint haha

I used to use ball point pen but then the ink would smear, now I just stick to pigment liner haha

I use a range all the time, I know the biros smudge but tbh I like the effect lmao

I like the effect for calligraphy, but sometimes when I do want it to smudge it won't but when I don't it does.... Always happens xD

Yeah you've got to be careful with the balance, but most of the time I don't care anyway xD If I want to do carefully planned detail work I'll draw in pencil first then line it with pigment liner owo
