Speedpaint with lighting effects, booyeah!Sort of a scene from my fic Kitsune Chaos ([link] )From top to bottom we have Carya, Slasher and Sonic, all about to sneak into the shielded city Azul. Too much of this pic was inspired by World of Warcraft.

of coarse as i'm reading the fic, i stop at this point and pause a moment... then hurridly open a new tab and search for this picture. and then i remember, oh yeah, it's not in my faves yet...

This is....oh alright, words just fail me at this moment. This is amazing...how long did this speed painting take? I'm betting 4 hours at the most. And the shading effects used to keep Sonic in the shadows is very well done, I couldn't tell he was in the picture from the Preview image!

I really like the strong contrast of colors in this piece. Considering this is a speed paint, there is a tremendous amount of detail, and implied detail.
I really dig the lighting effects, as well as the glowing raptor eyes, really makes them pop. I don't know if it's specific for raptors to have that... but I think you could have brought sonic's eyes out like that, too.
All in all, a really cool picture... and done in photoshop, no less...

The brown raptor looks a little like a snake (maybe it's the pose), but apart from that, I like this, especially the contrast of dark and light, with Sonic and the raptors in the shadows suggesting they're up to something.
