Description
Project for my drawing class. We were supposed to make a "subversive pattern" with 2 elements, one of them organic. We were to use white accent paper and no colour but I did anyway.After a few hours hanging in the hallway with the rest of my class's work someone who worked at the University bought it. Wooo!
Black and red ink on off-white rag paper, approx. 36" high
PS: I HATE SYMMETRICAL PATTERNS

That is so very cool. I'm glad you didn't make it like completely exactly symmetrical. I mean it looks symmetrical, which is good, but little details are different either side, which is really good too. It shows you didn't just draw half of it and mirror the whole thing in photoshop... uh, and I like the muted colours, too. x3
Are the flowers the organic part? 'Cause blood and skulls are also techni--*shot in kneecap*

Making it somewhat symmetrical was a pain in the ass enough! Haha.
I don't know which part was supposed to be organic, I wasn't really sure what the project guidelines were until I was done and they were sort of vague. It's art school, fuck criteria!

You should get this printed on wallpaper and plaster it on your walls, it would look gorejuss fo'sho !
I mean it's a gorgeous enough pattern as is, but this needs to be used as a pattern should be, and not just framed like a traditional painting.
