Description
Arq.This piece is composed of two main objects. The tunnels in the background and the cube in the foreground. Both objects have greebles/nurnies all over the place.
If you don't know what greeble's are, go here to find out!
Greebles are fun! First time experimenting with this type of fractals. I created the greebles in 3DSMax using this plug-in . It's very easy to use and I highly recommend it if you're looking for a way to create this effect. The scenes can get heavy very easily, and I had to re-do the objects a few times. After I had my objects done, I converted them to an *.obj format and exported them to Maya, and rendered them using mental ray.
I'm planning on continuing to work with this type of effect. I already have an animation done, and have some interesting ideas to experiment to make a movie-like trailer of some kind.
Software used: 3DSMax / Greeble Plugin for Max / Maya / Mental Ray / Photoshop
Full size: 1280x720
