OK HI 3:15 AM... TUTORIAL FOR BLINKING AND COLORING AND STUFF.
once and for all I am not answering questions regarding tablet pressure issues and NO you can't do this with a mouse. Mice suck, get a tablet.

go to 'window' at the top of the program and 'animation' should be there, click on that and that little animation frame box that you see in the tut should pop up

This is an awesome tutorial ~
But I have a question, I have SAI and I did all the steps
till the finished line art. But from there on the options you showed
like the 'detection mode' for the magic wand and 'Canvas > Corp by detection'
I can't seem to find on mine. What could be the problem?

You might have an old version of side. ex. old version has Addition layer as opposed to Luminosity. I suggest either downloading the new SAI on the destwo site or trying to figure out the equivalent on yours. o: I'm pretty sure old SAI had detection as opposed to selection.

It's nicer when you draw 3 extra frames to give it a more natural blink. Eyes dont "squish" closed.

those tend to go to slow for me and feels like a slow mo blink LOL I do this cuz I learned it using fleles.

can this be done using photohop elements 5.0 with out sai, or is it mandatory to have sai?

You can do exactly the same thing on Photoshop. But not on Elements. TBH Photoshop Elements sucks LOL. You don't need SAI but you at least need the Clipping Mask Layers and Opacity lock and the animation for photoshop. Photoshop elements didn't even have the sharpening filter... so I'm assuming the Animation window is lacking.
