Description
Terios is the prototype design and name of shadow, concept art for shadow was recently shown off a sonic joypolis event in japan and it was the first time shadow's concept art was ever shown off, I got to modeling right awayand decided collabing with my friend
she did a 2D artwork in the adventure style and I based the 3D render off it
check her DA for the original 2D artwork this was based off!

This is what Infinite the Jackal's look was based off of, with one difference: the scar was on his RIGHT eye.

I'm honestly glad Shadow turned out the way he is now, Terios looks TOO edgy (which is something I didn't thought it was possible). But it also explains people confusing Shadow with Sonic in SA2 (Terios does looks much more like Sonic, enough to be confused with him). Maybe the final design was a later change

To Be 110% Honest, either way i would've been satisfied is Sega stayed with using Shadow's original design. I mean they would've changed Terios to Shadow and it would actually work out well. (I Apologize if that doesnt make much sense)

Curiously enough the design for Shadow was oddly more evil look,but final design kicks off right point.
So Terios could have been a thing but honestly I don't think Maria Robotnik would exist on this case and wouldn't care much.
But still some of it is pretty alright.

The "Faker!" scene would have been made more sense if this design got used, because this looks more like Sonic than Shadow ever did

I agree. It never made sense to me that ANYONE could mistake Shadow for Sonic.
