Description
I've started up a new Traveller campaign and I've never had my own GM screen, so I decided to make my own. I got a hinged menu board that on it's side makes a nice screen of the right height and width. On my side it has a cork board to post notes and game things as well as a chalkboard on the other half. This art is what I made to put on the players' side to give them something to look atRelated content

Great scene, and a cool idea for the GM Screen Plus, as a Traveller GM myself HUZZAH on that one!

Nice work. I think the fighter is being a bit careless with the rifle, though.

thanks
Others thought so too, so we'll assume that it has magnetic interlocks to secure it whenever it's resting against something like this and stay safe.

hehe well if you're in the SW Missouri area that could be arranged Had our 2nd game of the campaign last week. Got all the players together. An old junk dealer had died, and her great-nephew got the contents of her will. He shows up with a buddy (both of them PCs) and takes ownership of her "Parts of Parts" shop and a small thumbprint device that looks like it's to be plugged in to something else. Her employee (also a player character) is remembered in the will, to the tune of 120,000cr (actually her mustering out pay from the scouts, but this was a more fun way to deliver it). They're going through her shop and they find a socket on the back wall behind a rack of rusty parts. It plugs in and things begin to power up. They realize they're not in a repurposed cargo container in the midst of the cargo containers stacked up at the edge of the starport, the 'shop' is the cargo bay of a ship
A scout ship buried underneath dozens of containers, and the PC's great auntie apparently kept hidden for over sixty years! The ship past the cargo bay is pristine, in some cases some rooms have never been used. The only things out of place are the two mummified bodies sitting in the pilot and navigator seats in the cockpit... each with a single gunshot wound. Not only that each one is missing an arm at the elbow... which they find in a hidden medical array in one of the staterooms... the arms are still alive thanks to special hibernation equipment, but over the last sixty years have been shaved down almost to the wrists. The arm shavings are processed into living DNA tags used to encrypt some sort of coded messages. All manner of trying to figure things out ensued and they figured the best way to lay claim to the ship is to call it salvage and falsify the location... saying deep space. They call upon an old friend of the deceased shop owner, the dock master of the starport for advice. He surprises them at shop later that evening, gun in hand, to 'discuss' the terms of their salvage

Thank you for encouraging my behavior Depending on how they deal with the dockmaster, they may or may not find out that he and the deceased aunt are Imperial Counterintelligence. The two dead men were Zhodani sleeper agents. Their mission was to send back long term data on fleet movements and the nearby naval base and the like. They were discovered and eliminated, and the dockmaster and the aunt had basically taken their place, sending outdated or false information back to the Zhodani for the last several decades. The messages were DNA encrypted (the DNA also ensures validity of the messages) and slipped into certain cargo pallets that arrived periodically at the starport. The Aunt didn't know she had a long-lost great nephew so instead of the Dockmaster getting control of the parts shop (and thereby continuing his mission of misinformation) as planned, the bureaucracy actually found the PC who inherited a very interesting situation
They know too much, but it remains to be seen if the dockmaster will try to buy or scare them off, pull them into it and make them agents (one of the players retired with a moderately high Naval rank so that may give him the clearance to make that feasible), or try to kill them. So many possibilities, but as always, I'll see what direction the players take things and adjust the mischief accordingly

That is what a good Ref does. I have been playing Traveller since it first came out in the '70s, and I would be at your place in a heartbeat!!

likewise Saw the ad in Dragon Magazine for it, which was just a picture of the box cover. Was so intriguing we sent away for it mail order sight unseen and have been playing ever since
