Hello beautiful deeevs!Today I started to hear that pre-orders have been coming in and the book has begun to pop up in stores- SO EXCITING! So I think I am in the clear to start posting some art from the Disney project I had been working on for a few wonderful months this autumn.
Before it got started, I needed to do some preliminary illustrations to demonstrate to them what the book might look like in my style.
Of the two tests, this one really worked for them since it skewed closest to the feeling of the film- I personally prefer the other one, but I'm glad we locked down a style and feeling we could both be happy with!

Mmmm, and it's conceivable that my copy got hear today and that I'm absolutely in love. That last picture especially....so many warm fuzzies and woobly eyes! And a plot! Something other than "oh hey, we have an idea that will let us abuse our CGI budget!"
Yup, yup, I may, in fact, be looking forward to seeing this film now.
.....but until then, there is shiny art.
