Oneshot is an RPG Maker 2003 Puzzle/Adventure game with unique gameplay capabilities. You, as the player, must guide Niko through a mysterious world, utilizing items, characters, and the environment to progress.
Features:
- Original soundtrack
- Custom graphics
- Unusual gameplay features
- Permanent consequences
This game was made in a month with a few character designs and music tracks made beforehand. Inspirations include Yume Nikki, Link's Awakening, Hyper Light Drifter, and The Little Prince.

so yeah, the game that Mat and I have been toiling over for the past month, for the RPGmakerweb indie game contest!
I did the art and most of the music, Mat did the programming and some of the music. We worked together on dialogue/concepts.

In the beginning I was very dissapointed that I can not play this game again and maybe make a different choice, but I think now I understand what this was really all about.
I think the end was supposed to teach us, that it's about making the decision WE as ourselves think is right, and not the one the game or anybody else thinks is right. Thank you for this very inspirational, gorgeous piece of art. It was a lot of fun

I felt pushed into writing a comment to let you know how this touched me, because I think you ought to know how awesome your game is, really. It's so inspiring :c, I am kinda envious haha, left me in awe. I want to do something that moves people the way this does. But the most great thing this game has; it's the world, it is actually believable, even though it's fantasy, that is a great achievement, it's hard to do that, partly due to your characters being well developed, and tallent overall haha. You end up loving everything in it. I'm looking forward to what you duo can do in the future ;3, and thanks for bringing this captivating world to life.

Oh man, I played this game today and it was just breathtaking. The music, art, story, and just the way everything unfolded was marvelous!! I especially liked the unique gameplay as it was really different from the usual rpg game. Niko is such an adorable character, and the ending really made me shed a tear //or two... or maybe more// Nice job to the both of you and really, I can't even express just how much fun I had!! Thanks for making this game~~
//also a quick question, I was wondering if you guys were going to do anything else with this game? (like a sequel/prequel?) because I'd love to see more!

i finished playing this yesterday and i haven't gotten over Niko yet ;n;
PS: is it ok if i make a character like Niko? cause they're just so cute!

Anyone know if having the "deja vu" beginning in the game (when Niko wakes up and says she experienced deja vu) will affect the ending or the gameplay in general?

nope! the deja vu was just an added bit of flavortext for when someone closes the game before the death mechanic is implemented

Played this a while ago (like at least 2-3 weeks haha) , recomended it to EVERYONE I know. like EVERYONE. Amazing game, should get way more recognition. Best rpg maker game I've played so far. congrats. (got to play it twice too, I'm such a cheater. But couldn't stand not knowing both endings. Niko is so adorable, too.
