Aah. I see. Well. this is a common problem eyes because they are using a "layer mask" that can mess up things. And when you make a custom skin then many usually forgets to fix the mask.
The best solution would be to trick the system by making the skin nearly transparent (Like 95% transparency).
If you want you can send me the VTF and i can fix it.

And how I do it? What do i need to change
I can give you the VTF : ) but example if I create a new eyer color than i can´t come back to you every time. It would annoy you and i dont like to annoy people

If you use an editing software like Gimp, Paint.Net or Photoshop then you need to reduce the layer opacity to a veeeery low number like 5-10% opacity (or units, depending on which software you are using.
And here is the fix
Fix: Eye Iris Xans Fix
Hope it helped!

I tried changing them to "eye-iris-demon" to the custom femscout and it shows the missing texture when i open sfm.

Nikolad92 In reply to ScootyBootyPiee [2015-11-27 23:42:31 +0000 UTC]
odd.
Then you must have done something wrong here.
Cuz if you get "missing texture" then you must have missed a step or misplaced something.

Nikolad92 In reply to ScootyBootyPiee [2015-11-28 01:49:31 +0000 UTC]
in your "Game" folder
tf > materials > models > player > shared.
But it's made so you just drop it in to your game folder and it will automatically be placed there.

Incase anyone is interested, there is a different way to change the eyes, without editing the VMT's.
Use the material override command, but in the element viewer under the materials for the model, add a string attribute to the left and right eyes, and add "$iris" instead of $basetexture" for the attribute name, and then type the location of the new eye texture in the new material slot as you would for any other texture.
Don't know if this is common knowledge or not, but i just found it and figured I'd share.
This trick also allows multiples of the same model to have different eyes

do you know any tutorials that tell you how to make custom .vtf files for eyes like these?

There is plenty of re-skinning tutorials around.
Sadly enough i don't have one here at the moment.

models/player/shared/"eye texture"?

ok. Where have you placed the eye textures?
I want you to tell me the whole pathway from the start (like tf, usermod, workshop and etc).
Maybe i can spot your problem.

The placement is correct.
Then you must have made a mistake in the VMF (the text file) file.

willwhitt56 In reply to Nikolad92 [2015-05-01 01:17:25 +0000 UTC]
no i was trying to change the eye colors of a femscout model, namely the newest one that came out ( the one with the removeable cloths.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Nikolad92 In reply to willwhitt56 [2015-05-01 07:34:26 +0000 UTC]
Sometimes two models are using the same eye texture.
So if you have an other fem scout, try to reskin that instead.
