Here is a Little tutorial on how to get some poses done!Please note that this won't go in on heavy details on how to pose.
This is more or less some tips and tricks on some posing!

Starting anything for the first time is never easy. Personal advice, don't give up, just keep practicing! This goes to everyone by the way. A first image will never look good. (Refer to my Deviantart if you want an idea of what I mean :I) Anyways, over time you will always get better at it, because every time you come back, you'll have a better idea of what to do!

I probably spend too much time with posing. I tend to be a perfectionist, and slow camera movement doesn't help. Oh well. If my posing takes n hour for 1 character (like it usually does) .Than so be it.
Also, I know that you use ctrl click for posing, but do you ever use the dropdown side menus? I find it easier for joints that are close together such as finger posing. That may just be me though.

Ok... This was a general tutorial on posing. Not how long time your system takes to do this.
And about that "drop down" menu, I rarely use that. Mostly if I'm going to fix a unselectable jacket for example.

I am getting better at spine-posing, though it doesn't always look like it.
And I've never usedΒ the sequence feature and I never will, all of my poses are 100% manual. My finger-posing and facial-posings are improving, too.
