Description
I am so unsure about this. Not only editing, composition and lighting are boring, also the pose is so ... unexpressive. I hate how it just won't work out.
Don't judge me.
PS: Second & very similar image will follow, I wasn't sure which one is better.
For *Sortvind 's 'water & clock' contest.

Well, I really think you are right.
there is some lack of dynamic in this piece.

she looks like she's watching time pass by with the insecurity of what is to come and when the water's level may rise. It's beautiful!

The Time II gefΓ€llt mir von der Bildaufteilung und uach von der Pose mehr, allerdings hat the time II einen schlechteren Fokus

i actually think this is quite good, the way she is holding the watch is ,, wel i dont know but it certainly draws your attention to it, but the expression is a bit, well dull for lack of a better word to explain it, but all in all i would say it is fair at the very least

i love this! it's so still and beautiful, i love how calm it all is despite the fact it's in water! took me a while to realise but it's lovely!

hmmm... I actually quite like the watch and the fact that she's in the water - I appriciate the idea behind it - it looks like she's realizing something very important.
I'm not judging - but just as an idea, it would be interesting to get a 3/4 turn view of the pic - would show her a bit better, change up the pose a little - but who the heck am I to say anything about photography?!
I also love the colors of the water and trees.

a 3/4 turn view? what do you mean?
π: 0 β©: 1
XenophiaSynesthesia In reply to NikolasBrummer [2011-06-03 03:25:34 +0000 UTC]
it's just a 3/4 view of the body - basically turning them slightly sideways so it's not a full front view of the body but it's not the profile either - it's waaay more simple than I'm explaning it. sorry.... hahaha just google it or something. It's just an idea. ah well. good luck on the contest!

:/ Naja, danke dir trotzdem!

I saw both of these. And I think I preffer this one! Because shes not really looking at the camera it looks more natural and less like a pose. I really like this one And the watch.

Well, being in the water with that expression which is mystery is more worthy! The other photo is a bit boring to this one.

luckydesigns [2011-05-31 18:15:43 +0000 UTC]
Personally, I think the time II is better just because the model is more focused on the camera, and there's a bit more expression. To me, this just seems like a shot taken in between shots, like when the model was moving to pose - that's just the way I think things turned out.
But honestly, the lighting is excellent and I love the composition. It's not a bad photo!

I disagree. This photo is great.
The only problem I see is the facial expression seems a little forced. IMO, the emotion she was trying to convey fits with the picture, but it looks like she had to force that emotion on her face.
Other than that, I like it.

Thank you a lot.
I am not quite sure, she said herself she wanted to express an ... emotion of being lost, with some insanity at some point, but just slightly.

Be careful, talent can take offence at you)

No, I'm worried because I don't really like my latest photos or I feel like they are not as good as other work I posted before.

Well, everyone has moments as you have-it's just a crisis. But you're wrong, your latest photos are not worse than your previous works! One is better, another one is worse-everything is like before) You're a human, you can't always do everything perfect) But I repeat, you still make good photos and the thing is that their quality is different.
Don't give up!

Will auch!

I disagree with the photo being boring, since she is standing in a body of water, but her expression is a bit unnatural or rigid
