Cuz people have been asking for one, but I'm too lazy to put together a really big one. Besides...my painting is usually random. I'm always trying new things, so making a tutorial is hard. Thestuff I laid out here is about the only thing that remains the same in...er....50% of my paintings. I hardly know what I'm doing most of the time. I'm still learning, really.I'm waiting for the tutorial by Cuz he totally owns.
At any rate, I hope this helps a little.

And then... Considering I only took a year of high school Art, what do ye mean by gesturing? is that more so a technique? or positioning of the subject on the medium or...?

Good note on saying that it takes time to rest the mind from the work. It's easier to see the mistakes and soem other things that erm, catch yer eye...

Hehe, sorta.
The picture looks totally different now. I ended up using a levels filter to brighten the colors, etc...all shall be explained later, after my finals.
Yet again, anyway...this picture has been a big experiment for me. x--x
Neeway....Uhm, you have talent, and a lot more than me. I wasn't as good as you when I was 14. I just have 5 more years of practice than you. ;3

talk about multitasking, I counted 24 windows open...including net nanny, lol. I think it's hilarious that you've got net nanny on your computer. And you've also got a phone and other real life distractions! Ak! I don't know how you finish anything! So, I'm the wrong person to comment about a tutorial seeing as I can pretty much only crop pictures in photoshop. The girl looks pretty cute though!
