I still couldn’t believe that I almost finished my journey from Germany to Switzerland to the Centre Equestre Fleurs de Cerise. To think about it, some time ago their Andreas and me were joking that I should come to stay in their stables. Well, here I am, sitting in the front passenger seat or our truck car, one of our grooms is driving and we are carrying my two most precious things I have in my life. Swavi and Maxi. There ever would be no case that I would have left one of them. Thanks to the local owner, Mrs. Monet, who gave us permission to bring two of them at a time – their guest stables are empty anyways, so why not.
Of course, I’m gonna be missing my own stables and my friends, but there are three weeks, waiting for me in the company of people, who are as crazy about the horses as me. Oh god, can’t wait to meet all of them.
Well, I actually know one of them. That’s Andreas, who is to be ‘blamed’ for my visit. We got to know each other during the last jumping event that we held in our stables. We became friends just in a couple of hours, while waiting for the results. Since then we’ve been texting each other every day, and then he proposed to come to their place. No one thought that this innocent proposal will turn into a three-week stay. It’s need to be said that it’s just the planned dates. Who knows, maybe I’ll stay for more…
You know that feel, when the legs become soft and senseless when you’re too excited about something? That’s what I’m having right now. I just can’t believe all of that is happening. I want to jump into that atmosphere and life of this center so bad. As Andreas told, the people here are really kind and funny. We’ll see if it’s like that right now.
We were already approaching the big main entrance gates already with the name of the stables. It’s time to call Andreas for him to meet us. Having called him and learned that he’s already been waiting for us for twenty minutes in the parking space, I made even more sure that I am waited in here.
Interesting, how will my two boys react to such a new place? Hope they’re gonna like it too. And I hope also that those buddies will behave. Especially Maxi. He’s pretty young and he has nothing on his mind but running in freedom on the fields and get crazy in the paddocks with other horses. However, I must say, he’s my first dressage horsie. And I’m so glad that I’m teaching him since the very basis.
So, here we are. Andreas smiled as he has seen me in the car. I see also one tall ginger-haired guy, it should be his friend. I jumped out of the car and went right to him and we shook hands and gave a ‘boy hug’. Ginger guy, who turned out to be Alex, shook my hand too, keeping a smirk on his face.
“How’s the trip? Tired?” wondered Andreas.
“Nah, it’s fine. I still have time for a small tour around the place”, I smiled, after what, taking all of important papers from the car, we all went to the truck, where my two dudes were waiting impatiently to get out.
Earlier today in the morning, Maxi didn’t want to get in the truck, so I got a bit stressed. Who knows, how much the “unloading” might take. Swavi, on the contrary, got out without any problems, and has already started to look around with interest. To help me, Andreas took him and moved to the side. I stayed with Maxi, who hasn’t been planning to move at all.
“Eh, boy, let’s go. You’re gonna like it here, I promise”, I whispered to his ear and he turned his head to me, looking right into my eyes, “It’s gonna be ok. Let’s go”
I still can’t get how it works. Sometimes I have this weird feeling that we have something like a special connection. Every time when I talk to him, he listens and I dare to say, he understands. That has helped me plenty of times already, as during the competitions, as in a stable life. As soon as he starts getting nervous, I just talk to him, and boom – he calms down immediately. Sometimes I feel super weird because of this. And so it was the case now, maxi relaxed and followed me out of the truck, although being a bit unconfident. Ah, that boy doesn’t like new places at all.
“He’s scared?” jumped to me the ginger guy.
“Yeah, kind of. He needs a lot of time to get used to a new place” I explain to him.

Andreas passed Swavi in the hands of the ginger, after what he sent us to the guest stables. Himself, he went to search for the owner. I liked this place. It was nice and beautiful, plus my long-haired companion turned out to be pretty communicative and he couldn’t shut up even for a second while we were walking. But that was totally fine. Well, we’ll see what comes next.
