Let me start this off by saying that I will be using the term Cecaelia to describe the person depicted. I apologize if you prefer another name.
First off, the hair is amazing. a good shade to somewhat match her makeup and contrast the background and her tentacles. And the makeup is wondeful, by the way. It really stands out, and I can't imagine what the Cecaelia would be without it.
The bra is unique and very profund, but it doesn't seem to be secured. However, I can't really complain about something like that on a picture of a fanatsy creature, so I'll just gloss over it.
Now, the main part. The tentacles. Here's my main gripe. The large chunk of -what's a good word to describe it- flesh? It's almost like a second torso. I see this all the time on Cecaelia and it really bugs me. Since a Cecaelia is a taur of a cephalopod, the tentacles are supposed to start at the waist, not the "feet." The tentacles themselves, though, look amazing.
Also, I like the bubbles in the foreground, it's a nice touch.
Overall, it's not a bad work whatsoever, but it leaves a lot to be desired, but that doesn't mean it won't get my fave. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

I gennerally like the Squid-type mermaid to begin with, but you've added some really nice hair, two things that are hard enough to do seperatly, but work well together.

I'm wondering just what kind of a hug she can give you with those tentacles.

Nice work

Which is another reason why I refuse to believe the "sailors were drunk" theory for the mermaid sightings, Even drunks will call bullshit on confusing a manatee for a woman.

The reference eludes me. But would this character be the combination of Ursala and Triton having a child?
Still very nicely done!!!
