This is actually the 20K contest image, Thanks for 20,000 people! (even if it was a forever and a ago)The request was from ~Ravmaster and it was for "TP Link slashing with aggression" I actually sketched out the general composition for this a long while ago, then I took a step back and said, "this is going to be too complicated" so I ditched it until I could think of something better. Weeks pass and nothing better comes and then randomly yesterday I picked the composition up and finished the sketch.
side note: I hate deku babas, baba serpants, baba bo babababas and all baba kind. They always scare the crap out of me when they pop out of the ground. And WHO is this TWISTED PERSON who keeps planting gardens of KILLER PLANTS all around Hyrule?!! I don't recall that section of Home & Garden.
.... actually planting gardens of maneating plants sounds like something I would do.
I might color this we'll see.

I hope you do get the chance to finish this, it's an excellent sketch!! I love the emotion in it, from Midna's cute yawn of "this is BORING" to Link's frustration with all those blasted plants X3333 Excellent work on the plants too, you made them creepy and plant like...if that makes sense xD! Awesome work, its really beautiful!

Oooh, looks like it'll be another wonderful piece from you. For some reason this composition reminded me of the Halloween pic that you just did. Maybe it's the round opening in the background and the repetition of rounded things through out the pic? Link's pose looks very dramatic and I love Midna's expression--those two make quite the contrast in actions (more like lack of with Midna) and expressions.

Yeah I was pretty aware that it's similar to the halloween picture, even though I technically came up with this composition first (and quite a while before I drew up the halloween picture.) I like circular sweeps, but I think the pumpkins being similar to the babas is more coincidence, I needed an enemy for Link to fight, and babas seemed fun to draw (and they were!)
