Hey guys! Long time no post!I got the okay to post some pictures of one of the latest projects I worked on and I wanted to share. This is a 2-in-1 mini-bust of Marvel Comics characters Cloak and Dagger done for Bowen Designs. I felt very fortunate to be able to work on this as not only am I a huge fan of the characters, but I was also able to base it on the Cloak and Dagger painting I made a few years ago. So it was just a big nerd dream come true for me.
It was also a bit of a logistical nightmare as well just because of all of the stuff crammed into one piece - Two figures (one male, one female, one black, one white) big flowing cloak, bunch of twisted souls within the cloak, and all balanced together on a single base… YIKES! I’m pretty happy with how it all turned out but I was sweating bullets the entire time.

Thanks again man! Actually this is my second step out of the box and my first step has been met with nothing but nerd rage. I sculpted a Firelord bust for Bowen before this one and the fans absolutely hate it! So I've already felt both ends of the fan reaction spectrum in just my first 2 pieces.

Baby steps is all. You know how people get once a certain style is established. A little change makes folks get a little bent out of shape and they're a bit spoiled. They don't take the time to realize you're building here and say silly things. Don't sweat it at - we all get beat up. Keep going.

Thank you! As far as the chances for a Full size statue, I'd say very slim. C&D are niche characters at best and a double statue of them would probably cost way too much to produce and you probably wouldn't be able to sell that many of them because the characters only really have a cult following. I'd love to see a FS of these 2 but odds are it ain't gonna happen.

Wow, I'm ridiculously impressed how well you managed to portray such a geometrically impossible subject in three dimensions. Seriously, a character whose insides are a portal to another dimension-type-thing filled with screaming demon spirits? That's hard enough to draw, let alone sculpt.
I also can't fathom how you can do that sort of thing in Sculpey. That stuff hates me; I'll stick to my plasteline...

Simply incredible...really, the only other time I saw this amount of detail in a sculpture was by Michelangelo, and you work with the comic book industry, meaning you're able to do this level of work all the time. You are truly talented.

Yep! It's a being produced by Bowen Designs and should be out by the end of the year - probably around October or so.

It's 1/8th human scale so a 6 foot tall person would be be about 9 inches tall at this size. From the bottom of the base to the top of his hands it's about 10 inches tall.
