A short scenario I envisioned for the Final Fantasy 7 game. This interaction never took place in the game, but I wanted to try and fill in a gap. I also wanted to stay consistent with the sequence of events in the game. It's up to you to judge whether or not I succeeded.

The premise:
Aerith has tragically passed on. Cloud and the group are on the Highwind, on the way North, to the crater and Sephiroth.

I originally penciled this story in mid-1997. I knew how I wanted it to look, but I didn't have a script. I just made it up as I went along, hence the poor page layout and panel composition.

After inking, I colored it using thin watercolor washes, then the dialogue was printed out and cut-and-pasted onto the pages.

The pages you see here have been only slightly tweaked with my computer (color-corrected, the layout tweaked, re-typing of some dialogue that didn't scan well, a few effects added.)
