Well, 'tis a new year, and time for some new submissions.

I made this kimono in my second year of school (last year I guess) and I just hucked it in the closet because it turned out like crap (or so I thought then)
I took it out today and thought, I worked my @$$ off making this thing, so I'd better get a least a few good pics of it at some point.
And what better way to spend a lazy New Years day then dressing up! Plus I got this new wig off ebay for a cosplay I should be working on, and its so nice and soft and pretty!

Anyway, the kimono was originally a project for a repeat pattern silk screening assignment. I cut my fabric into long strips, much like kimono cloth, and measured out where I wanted the prints to go, so they would all line up when I sewed the kimono together.
I used two screens for this, and three colours. Both the screen where photo emulsion. One with a simple design of two dragons, the other with the details of the dragons that whent over top.
It worked so perfectly until I rinsed it, and all the dye went crazy and there are little red smudges all over the bloody thing!
Hence why I hated it for the longest time and just let it sit in my closet.
But you can't really see the smudges much in photos, so I think I like it again.
