Description
If you can't watch this animation be sure to go to my Youtube where it's formatted to be easier to watch: www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNbcyG…This animation I finally decided to make a bit more dynamic by including some 2D running poses, it also helps the animation have more going for it than just dialogue only.
This is also the first animation where you get to hear what Arc sounds like, as me and the voice actor finally got together and recorded some lines; though for humorous effect his voice doesn't appear until the third scene.
Very special thanks to for his most excellent work on the running poses for Brack, which came out fantastic.
And of course all the characters and their expressions and poses were done by the very talented and professional
Also I need to thank once more for his fantastic music, though I did use a royalty free song this time because I couldn't resist the humorous tune.
Anyway, this animation should have a bit of everything: Good backgrounds, music, voice acting, character gestures, dynamic movement, and subtitles. Overall I'm hoping that when I do finally start making canon episodes that they turn out as least as good as this one did.
As always leave your feedback and tell me what you like, what you don't, and what can be used from this to improve future works.
Thanks everyone for watching! I hope as always that you liked it!

I'll say it again: I just love the amount of graphic adventure vibes I get when I see your animations, sometimes when there's a brief pause I have like a sudden reflex of wanting to click the screen to guide Brack around, it just looks like good old Lucas Arts games to me and that's like a fine cup of nostalgia tea.

Indeed, I think it's mostly cause it's Flash art and would probably resemble some of those old games that had a lot of flat colors and the like.
If I ever ran into anyone with programming chops I might be willing to do a short game with the assets; though I can't really afford to hire one at this juncture just because the animation isn't really making money yet.
Anyway, I'm glad you like it so much, definitely I'll keep making more episodes.

nice work! sure the mouth animation seems anime stylish, still its a great animation with a good storyboarding concept to the plot of this cartoon and the voices aren't bad too!

Thanks!
Well that's probably because you can kinda get away with only a few frames for talking and as long as people aren't looking at it super closely than it usually works.
Thanks very much, I'm glad you like the animation; there's still a long ways to go and I have a lot of improvements I still want to make, but this is still very much a work in progress with the goal of eventually something greater in the long term.
Cool, I play the main voice and one of my family members is playing the other character; though we were trying to do our best takes here, I think they improve with time though as we accumulate more experience and learn certain things along the way.
Much obliged for the comment and feedback, I am very glad you liked my animation; this comment made my day, thanks again!

well its how good you can animate is what matters, and how hard you try which improves your efforts in the animation career field. As for me, I'm still improving and learning animation as i come across newer animation techniques which can improve and modify the way i animate and draw back when i was still getting into flash back in 2008. Sure i catch a few mistakes in my cartoons, but thats because I'm still proud of myself for animating my best efforts of completing a animated full cartoon episode, thats what I've to look back is how much I've improved and how much I've learn just by animating each cartoon i create. And looking for those efforts in my skills is what also matters, whether your a beginner, advance artist or a experienced flash animator guru.

I'd say at this point I'm ok at it, I kinda got my start in a high school tech class in 2004; however I didn't get to practice again until I bought a copy of the program myself a few years later.
I'm still learning tips and tricks that help make it faster and easier to animate but there's still a lot of the program I don't understand (like the programming parts).
Regardless my goal is to eventually accumulate enough character assets and props to be able to make a full and complete animation with an interesting story; though it will be a long time before I can do that so for now I keep it light hearted and make mostly comedy oriented animations. In time though I hope to build up enough assets and support to be able to accomplish my long term goal: a Youtube series.
We'll see how it goes. Though each and every new supporter I meet helps get me a little way closer to that goal, and so for that I'm very thankful.
Anyway, thanks again, I'm glad I posted my animation to your search.

Nice. I don't wanna criticize, but.... the voices needs to be clearer and louder. The voices are engulfed in the music. Also needs more expression cos' some lines sounded lifeless. But still nice improvements

It's true, we definitely could use some more practice; we'll keep working at it though. I think part of the reason the voices weren't coming through totally clearly is because we were still kinda new at this and hadn't gotten all the settings down yet, we were sill working through the kinks by the next episode.
But yeah, we've been getting that feedback a lot, I'll work on the sound balancing more.
Thanks for the comment, and yeah it's getting a bit better each time.

No problem, I watch a lot of people too; I'm not always able to notice everyone's submissions either.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it Illusir.
Ha, yeah that's a bit of an inside joke; that's the way a few of my friends pronounce it as a joke.
Well I knew that I wanted something interesting for his running poses so I figured I'd show off a bit of my background assets in the process; eventually I'm hoping I can add vehicles as well as I have a lot of practice animating those from way back.
Awesome, I'll definitely keep trying to improve; it's just a slow process is all.
Thanks very much for your detailed feedback Illusir!

You're very welcome! It was entertaining to watch!
Funny way to pronounce the name, maybe Arc can keep to pronunce it like this from time to time to annoy Brack
With vehicles included your backgrounds would be even more interesting. I think, you should try to add them, if it's not too complicated.

Nomads-of-Korsun In reply to Illusir [2015-09-24 17:11:27 +0000 UTC]
Awesome, that's good to hear. I'll try and make sure future animations are entertaining as well, it will probably just take a while to get more poses together.
Indeed, it's kinda based on an inside joke were certain people I know pronounce the character name that way; it could also be funny if other character hear it pronounced that way and assume that's the correct pronunciation. Ha Ha
It wouldn't be too complex to add vehicles, the only tricky part will be if scenes have both vehicles and people that will require some doing to have enough room on the screen for both of them; regardless, it should be a lot of fun when I finally get to that.
Anyway, thanks for your detailed replies Illsir, I think we have a great system here. Ha ha.

Thank you! I'm glad people are still enjoying the humor.
Sort of, basically Arc's microphone wasn't working so Brack assumed something was missing; he went out to look for it but when he returned it was revealed that he only needed to wait a bit for it to load.
Glad you like Arc's character, I had his voice actor picked out for a while but he's been busy until just recently.
(Don't be sorry, I'm happy that you like the characters of my animation).
Thanks for the comment!

That's good, it can be difficult to tell what's going to be funny or not when I'm writing the script for the animation; though so far I've been fortunate to be funny more often than not.
Well of course, Brack is sorta me in a sense, so there's going to be some 4th wall breaking here and there for fun.
*** When I do the more serious bits I'll refrain from doing that, but those are still a long ways off.

Thanks, that's high praise from another animator such as yourself; if all goes well I should be able to have voices for both these characters for all future animations from here on out.
Of course, I greatly look forward to that; perhaps I'll think of one or two more to add while were at it. After-all there's always a need for more poses.
Indeed, you definitely deserve a mention as you made the running poses possible; I'm glad that once in a while I can work with someone else who also has flash, it tends to make everything just a little bit easier.
Thanks for typing up some feedback DragginCat! I appreciate it!

No problem! And thats true xD One critique i would add on the run cycle is that everything seems to be going at the same speed. Maybe try switching up the framerate a bit? Unless thats the style you're going for :'D
But other than that good work!

Nomads-of-Korsun In reply to Seyumei [2015-09-23 00:02:57 +0000 UTC]
Ah, I hadn't thought about that. Unfortunately right now I'm only running the animation at about 10-12 FPS so I'm not able to tweak it very much one way or another; however, I'm probably going to animating at a higher FPS now that I've been ironing out some of the kinks in the background. (It used to seize up or close out by itself at certain points in my earlier animations, due mostly to technical errors committed by me).
Anyway thanks so much for watching and commenting, Thanks again!
