Description
Some recent study concept design from Ma.K (Maschinen Krieger) universe. Its been really fun exploring the aesthetics and ideation of classic world war machine stuff combined with futuristic implementation. Keeping its retro feel is what makes it more interesting. Powered armor, anti-grav systems, clunky looks is a few things that I should stick in it. Learned a lot.Related content

On the lower left, that suit of power armor (if you'd call it that, seems like it) is just amazing. Well, all of this is amazing really, but that for some reason is especially eye-catching for me.

Trims bro. Me too still learning and digging about it. Persepsi desainnya luas, jadi hampir bisa nyasar kemana-mana. Tapi ya seperti yg saya tulis diatas, gak jauh2 dari power armor dan mesin era jadul di jaman space age. Macem alternate history kalo menurut saya.
Kebetulan itu konsep pribadi semua, tapi inspirasinya ya tetep dari Yokoyama sensei.

I love these sketches! Your art style reminds me a lot of Miyazaki's and Shirow Masamune, who are two of my favorite artists, so that's a pretty high compliment.

I wouldn't say that. Your art has a very refined form to it, and your attention to mechanical detail is superb! It reminds me of how far I have to go with my own mechanical stuff. What art program do you use, out of curiosity?

Thanks again for the kind words friend. My art program, hmm mostly just Photoshop, but sometimes can be CorelDRAW, Zbrush, SketchUp, Maya, and some other too.Β

My little advice is I think you should focused on just one program first, Photoshop for example. After you get a grip on it then start trying another. Sometimes too many programs could confuse people. Anyway, hope it helps.

These sketches... they have something to set them apart from the usual dieselpunk stuff. Which is them actually being retrofuturistic, as opposed to just retro. They look like results of alternate technological progression, rather than technology (and its aesthetics) just holding in more or less one place despite the crazy stuff like powered armour and hovering vehicles. And yet, at the same time, they don't look like they've progressed from modern technology either. All in all, not something you see every day.

I appreciate it. You should check the "Maschinen Krieger" if you haven't. People makes lots of crazier stuff there, kit mostly. Good for enjoying and observation when you're into this kind of thing.

Have you considered trying to make an Ma.K inspired rocket artillery piece?Β
Something akin' to the 30 cm Nebelwerfer 42 or theΒ Wurfrahmen 40, just self propelled or whathaveyou..

Yep, actually I have the Nebelwerfer rocket battery version but its pretty messed up sketch so it didn't show up here 
Going to make more of these later. It's really really fun you know
