Some thumbnails I made during the creation process of this guy . I mostly played around with that lovely flat rectangular brush and the liquify filter :3
Lots of animals from lots of different classes have "long thin legs". It was awesome to see how everyone in the course ended up with a completely different kind of creature!

They're some of those insect-based concepts I came up with - I really really wanted to proceed with that kind of idea, but my teacher suggested to go with the avian one. I did draw a rough "loser" turnaround based off those thumbnails, though xD

I'm glad you think so - it's hard to come up with dozens of ideas based on the same guidelines and make them look really different from each other
