[link]IT'S DONE. I sorta wish I'd had more time to polish things, BUT IT'S DONE.
This thing took me two months to do, and I actually like how it turned out.
So yeah, enjoy!

Okay, just looked at this.... and very cut
Very nice job on both the animation and model/textures. Both have a very natural flow, the animation felt really natural. It was really amusing when it jumped in the chest, as you seem to have taped into it's spindly body well... it was kinda like a weasel or such jumping around, adding to the natural of the motion.

Granted, it also helps I did a year of 3d animation(and damn do I recall animation curves having been a pain for me

I looove the design! He's so cute! But also really appealing, which is really important, especially in 3d I find, since it's so easy to make a design look awful in 3d!
How long have you been animating in 3d? I'm probably going to start learning it soonish..but I'm a little scared I won't like it :/

If you're just starting out animating then I would NOT recommend Maya. It's such a complex program and I'd have never figured it out without guidance from my professors.
If you're just starting, try Flash. It's expensive but you can probably download a free trial to see how you like it. I never use any of the fancy stuff they have, just the pencil tool and it's fine for me.
And if nothing else then just make some flip book style animations.

I must say I have to agree, the animation looks really good. I especially liked all the little movements you put in - it goes a long way in making the little guy look believeable. And it doesn't help that the he's so goshdarn cute as well!
I know there's always something one wishes they could do better, but out of curiosity, is there anything specific you had in mind that you wished to 'polish'?

Mostly minor details. I wish I could've added actual blades of grass instead of just having a flat plane, work on his tail a bit more to make it smoother, and just little bits of animation here and there that I think could use some more tweaking.
Also I messed up on his model. The bottom of his eyeballs go through the roof of his mouth. xD It's not something you can see, but it bugs me so much.

I kinda know what you mean with regards to the last thing. Sometimes I feel I have to work on pieces of background for static images where that part of the background would be completely covered up by something, if only for completedness. Ah, detail.
