A deviation from my normal "style" (ok, so sue me for a rubbish pun if you must!). I can see this phonebox from my bedroom window. For some reason I like it, although I won't condone the act of vandalism that allowed me to get the photo - I just can't see the point in it myself.

yess I love the way you split the frame down the middle and the guy on the right seems to be looking across to the frame on the left..... is this more the contextual style you were talking about wanting to explore Robin? I like it anyhow

Is this the more contextual style? Sort of, but the stuff we were doing the other day is more along the lines of what I want to do. Got some nice pictures out of that - must have been inspired by your presence!
Seriously, though, I did get a lot out of it. Next time I'll be able to bring my new 20D (how happy am I?) to bear on the situation and see if that yields any better results.

oh cheers Robin...... and thanks for the compliment but I was a bit out of form that day.... and you are brilliant anyway!!! But it was great to see you working..... in fact i was the one inspired by you mate, I love your energy for creating images and your new stuff looks very strong....you seem to have carried your clear sense of a tight composition that you have with your abstracts, into the realm of a more contextual style....... looking forward to seeing more

theres certainly something raw and dark in there,i like it but i'm not sure why

Cheers Jim. I think I know what you mean - this is one of those pictures I like more than I think I should. I think it has a lot to do with the bloke's picture on the right though: somehow it seems to draw it all in together as a composition (shades of private dick at the scene of a crime maybe? Perhaps that's why it feels dark - something noir going on!)
