for a very new Dog RP group I'm joining C: be sure to give it a check!!
I have a soft spot for huge white dogs (and animals that are ridiculously big for their type in general). So, here's this massive gold-hearted idiot :'D.
Fun fact: the first Fierro that is mentioned as a "legend" to his kin, is an offline character of mine, of a short story that will probably stay offline about an Argentine Polar dog of that name, living in Antarctica. Yes, I'm aware APDs were spitz type dogs

Family: His mother, father, uncle, uncle's mate, as well as 4 siblings (two males, and two females) are still alive, but he lost track of them.
Current age 4
Gender: Male
Breed-base: Pyrenean mastiff (he's not a purebreed though)
Abilities: Lexical-gustatory synesthesia. Basically, spoken words involuntarily trigger very vivid tastes in his mouth (sometimes as far as including texture and temperature). These associations are specific and don't change with time.
Physical Strengths: Great body mass and physical strenght, very powerful bite.
Physical Weaknesses: Low stamina. His right wrist got broken once and never healed properly, which besides becoming a vulnerable point, makes him prone to trip often. Poor maneuverability. Panosteitis (sudden, otherwise unexplained pain and lameness appearing in any leg at random, especially hind legs -it shiftes-, accompanied by fever and lethargy. It lasts from one day to one week, and the intensity is the highest in the early stages).
Height: 86 centimetres/ 34 inches
Weight: 99 kilos/ 218 lbs

Personality: Protective, friendly, playful, laid back, slow to understand, easy to impress. Extremely naive and absent-minded. He's completely oblivious to insults, not because he's not offended by them, but because he does not understand their nature. He also fails to get sarcam and mockery. When he has a good idea, or one of his ideas is applauded by someone else, may flavor it for a while, proud of himself. Very easily deceived, may base his desicions more on loyalty than on logic. Respectful of authorities to a preposterous point.
Few things are capable of making him angry, and seeing someone abusing a weaker dog, especially a puppy, is one of these things.
Lazy by nature, he's gladly spend his days laying around under the sun, or playing like a puppy with packmates, but life in the RedWood Brotherhood, where most members are way smaller than him, had forced him to take his responsabilities more seriously than he used to in his family pack. Loves babysitting, and puppies in general.

Since Sunday's encounter with Clay, he had grown very wary of male strangers, and his initial reaction may be from cautious to antagonistic (though he's still very easily deceived and his confidence can be quickly earned through a friendly attitude). In those cases, he may intimidate through his massive built, but he's still not prone to cause physical harm, unless either him or one of his packmates is attacked. Even if those cases, he won't tend to use exessive violence, unless strictly necessary (for example, if the threatening dog is small enough, he would rather forcefully push away or immobilize him/her with his weight, rather than tear flesh or broke bones).

Other: Is madly in love with Goose. He has an obsession for the sky and things that fly, especially birds and butterflies. Since he's so absent-minded, he has the habit of walking while looking up, not paying any attention to what's around him, which leads him to, sometimes, accidentally step on smaller dogs.

History: Named after the last ancestor of his kin to be a human’s companion, now a legend to his family line, Fierro was the largest pup of his litter and initially chosen by the adults to succeed as a leader. As he grew, however, he quickly displayed he lacked the qualities for it. He was, in the other hand, quite a strong fighter, and very protective of his relatives, so his role was relegated from intended leader to a sort of bodyguard.
Roaming in the Panaitoliko mountain range, his family historically tred to keep their type pure, and for generations their members have been breeding only with other long-haired molossers and similar-looking dogs (they value body size and hair lenght). They are a separate unit, but stay in contact with other molosser families that wander around the area, pups usually moving into other families as they become adults.
One day, a rock slide forced the family to split apart to save their lives. After spending some time apart, every one of his relatives was able to reunite, except him, who instead of making a conscious research walked aimlessly in a random, relatively linear direction, in the hopes of eventually running into them, or be found. When he realized he was completely lost, and far away from his homeland, he just continued his aimless walk, until eventually ending up in Athens.

Likes: Delta and Hiccup's puppies. Goose. Puppies, butterflies, birds, the sky, laying under the sun in a cold day, sleeping, resting, playing, eating, carrying smaller dogs in his back.

Dislikes: pointless violence (especially towards pups), hot weather, wind, having work too much, dogs who talk too fast or have a very serious attitide. Dogs who act aggressively without a good reason. Little Thing. While not really disliking her, he's no longer fond of Sencha, for she hurt Sunday.
