Description Part of the Week of Too Much Alchemy! As promised, an Array a Day, every day this week!

This is the anti- alchemy array. It has a similar effect to the anti alchemy blade, but in this case, it’s in array form. It uses a special type of hexagram to decompose the function of the array. This causes the array to go haywire, causing major problems for the alchemist, and his product.
This works from both a distance, or from on another array. Its best from a distance, simple because the other alchemists would probably notice this array on top (unless you draw it under the dirt, but thats still considered a distance). So now you can mess with your alchemist friends from a distance!*

This was based off a request, but the actual requested array will appear soon...

*I am not responsible for the death of your friends if you pull that kind of a prank on them...

I have a fantasy universe that is heavily inspired by Full Metal Alchemist; there, Alchemy is a sort of unexplained but well-known effect that allows scholars (or anyone who learns it, really) to make physical effects happen only using their mind, given they have both sufficiently accurate measurements andΒ model of physics, and a source of energy (it's all very rooted in modern physics, as it never can break conservation laws). The alchemy is definitely a physical process though, so it's effects cannot be stopped by alchemy and they also are entirely permanent and irreversible in the physics meaning of the word, although, and this is also an unexplained anomaly, magnetic fields for some reason decrease the effectiveness of alchemists.
Just thought you might find that interesting.

That hexagram was mentioned in Aleister Crowley's work, I think... it's called a unicursal hexagram, meaning it's a six-pointed symbol that can be drawn in one unbroken line. It symbolizes high level of self-confidence, the belief that one can do anything, can become a divine figure. The Buddhists have a special version called the endless knot. In their case, it symbolizes the infinite wisdom of the Buddha, the endless cycle of reincarnation, the union of wisdom and compassion (or wisdom and method), and other things.

Might I say this thing is awesome? Yes, yes I shall say it. THIS IS AWESOME!

in your tutorial, you said all you have to do to disrupt a transmutation circle and make it go haywire is draw the circle imperfectly so how come you need a whole new array to do the exact same thing?
just wondering p.s LOVE YOUR WORK!!!

This is for destroying somebody else's array. Say you are using a plant to bread array to kill me (somehow), and I get pissed! I use this array, and then I ruin your attempt at alchemy and your array goes nuts and you turn into a steamy pile of flesh and die.
That is why.

But what if someone uses one of these to make yours go haywire? Do you just use another one on theirs? Then won't they use another one, too? GaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAaaaaAAAAAAAaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAuAUAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I noticed that it kind of looks like you overlapped two of your anti-alchemy knives...still, thats pretty awesome

They work in a similar manor. And that fancy little hexagram is going to start showing up a lot more, because I realized how handy that one, and another one, can be.

Works by being drawn on/making contact with the target array, or from a distance?

It can work with both. But its best from a distance. But I will edit that in. Thanks for reminding me!
