Description Part of the Week of Too Much Alchemy!!! An Array a Day, Every Day this week (Even yesterday! And Today!!!)

This is a very simple transmutation circle. It has popped up before as part of bigger arrays, but I figured I would just upload this one simply because I like it, and I figure you would too.

Amazing! did you really make this array? Adding some planetary metals to one simple circle is truly amazing!

WHAT THE HELL?!?! WHERE DID THIS ARRAY COME FROM??!?! SURELY I NEVER ACTUALLY MADE THIS ARRAY?!?!? (fun sarcasm, not the rude kind)

Thanks!

That's true. But I hate those people. So yes, it was completely made by me.

Nope. Requests are closed unless the idea is so amazing that in rocks my world.

oh ok well my ides is fpr an alchemist that can control all the different types os inerals and change and reshape them to whatever it wants take in mind it only works for metals

Can't really say that's going to rock my world. Minerals and rocks are rather different

Though, it's a good consideration for tutorials about specification in array functions...

Last thing. Because I'm a grammar Nazi, I need to correct your comment. I apologize in advance if it pisses you off. I helped you out first so I think the fact that I'm correcting you shouldn't be a big deal.

Basic spelling and grammar edit:
"Oh okay. Well my idea is for an an alchemist that can control all the different types of minerals and change / reshape them to whatever he wants to. Take in might that it only works for metals."

What you actually mean, edit:
"Oh okay. Well my idea is for a transmutation circle that can control all the different types of minerals and shape them to whatever the user wants. Take in mind that it only works for metals."

I already explained how it would be pointless to get an array that only works on metals since metal is earth. Instead of making a more complicated array that controls only metals, you could replace that exact same amount of complexity and replace it with a Earth array. Except that a more complex Earth array would be more powerful than a equally complex metal-only array.

Thank You for the wonderful information

I can tell. You're a bit better. But have you learned anything about Alchemy? Or at least understand more?

I've learned a lot thanks to talking to Azerik92 (an admin of Alchemy Junkies) and various other things. Azerik started a alchemy tumblr page. Read the info on it. It might help out.

So basically. An alchemical transmutation circle capable of manipulating all the rock and metal based elements within one transmutation circle? Unless it's a transmutation circle that specifically creates it into one shape, pretty much any transmutation circle that manipulates materials can be moved into any shape.

Example: scholarlybelgarath.deviantart.… and notshurly.deviantart.com/art/E…
These transmutation circles moves earth and allows you to pull specific metals out of the ground. You don't need a transmutation circle that specifically says you can move it however you want. Rather, you need a transmutation circle that specifically says what shape to always form no matter what.

This link is a good example: notshurly.deviantart.com/art/L…
It forms a ball of electricity and then... you do whatever. Not all transmutation circles are limited. So in general, think instead of "How do I get my array to allow me to do whatever I want to do with these elements" and think "How do I get it to NOT let me do whatever I want and instead do something specific every time".

Metals count as Earth so you could pull Iron out of a mountain or just move the rock itself from the ground and form a protective wall. Either one would work. I realize your request is only for metals but I'm not sure if that could be done in a simple array. It's not impossible, just not simple. It would be easier to just have a extremely powerful Earth array and use it for metals.

I already have a couple somewhere on this website.

Crap, heres The corections

The sign for Gold so *it could symbolize a perfect flame.

*Also the moon represents Silver, But in this case gold?

Sorry For The mistakes

Is This A Transmutation circle For purifying a soul?
I See The symbol for Fire With The sign For gold so I could symbolize a perfect flame.
I also see symbols for air and earth which Would be the fuel for the fire.
Also The moon Represents silver, But in this case gold?
If this is true Then Its kinda Harsh.
This Would Be a Transmutation circle for burning The souls Of sinners if im correct.
Tell me if i'm right.I showed this To my friend and He came up with The same Idea mostly.

Woah! Thats a neat idea! Violent, but then everybody burns.
But no, you are not correct. Sorry. As the title says, Simple Transmutation Circle. It's one used for changing the shape of one object to another, just like one of those the Elric boys used. That's it's sole purpose. The Triangle is not used to represent an element here, just the understanding, breaking down of, and recomposition of the substance you intend to transmute.

But I must say, I rather like your idea. If you want to know more about this array, check the comment threads, and I think I explained the purpose of the symbols as well.

Thats Ironic,Or mabye Its actualy Like That On purpose.
3 Steps to alchemy. 1.Understanding 2.Breaking down 3.Reconstructing.
3 steps to alchemy, and 3 Points on a triangle.Lol

So, care to share what the sun and shadowed moon glyphs mean? Or is it a book-exclusive thing?

Notshurly In reply to Elgomaisa [2010-10-31 05:56:05 +0000 UTC]

That will be explained in the book and in a tutorial. I would explain it now, but I'm out of it. Allergy medicine and a long night of doing a haunted house have rendered me a tad outlandish.

Fair enough. Take it easy.

Notshurly In reply to Elgomaisa [2010-11-22 03:16:00 +0000 UTC]

So since that 3D array is taking forever, I figured the least I could do was explain the sun and moon. The way they work in this array is like a balancing force. They are like a yen and yang in a way. Thus, you can get an oxymoron going on in your array with something like "Controlled chaos", which is what this did in many arrays with it's quick decomposition and composition.
Another reason I used this was so the effect could extend beyond the array. Say you had this drawn on your hand and wanted to transmute the earth beneath you and create a sword, but are to lazy to bend over and lay a finger on that dirty earth. Well the sun and moon create this theoretical orbital effect. The energy is able to orbit around itself in little bursts and fly outside the array and to the transmutation site, then back. It's a little confusing, but it's kinda like stars that orbit around each other.

Ooh more heady goodness. Thanks for the info, and don't worry too much about the array. I'd rather you have fun with your work than feel rushed. Plus, good things come to those who wait.
