Description
The end of year 2023 is drawing near and year 2024 is right around the corner. I rummaged my old project files to see what kind of stuff I've in there. I draw quite a lot and save practically everything I draw although I don't upload everything. On 2021 I drew some quite peculiar quick designs which I feel are worth compiling into one upload. There are some other drawings as well, I'll consider doing more of these if I got the time.

I usually don't add dates on sketches or quick drawings unless I plan to upload them. Thus I don't remember the exact dates when these were made, but #1 was done sometime early 2021, and the rest were drawn in quick succession in summer 2021. I don't remember what made me draw #1 (I probably had seen similar graphic presentation with very dark shadows), but I recall having drawn #2-5 after seeing some design practices of a friend of mine. With these four designs I wanted to experiment what kind of semi-random designs I couldn come up with. I also wanted to try doing designs and use colors that I would typically not go for.

What I remember with these particular designs is that #2 was heavily inspired by an old game called "S4 League" I used to play quite a lot long time ago. This doesn't look anything like the character I played as, but the color scheme was very similar: neon greenish yellow accents, purple hair and eyes. I went with fairly sharp and angular shapes for this one. I also found that having very bright accent on the hands felt cool, so I kept this trend on later designs as well.

#3 was about silly head gear and S-S-SP-SPEED! Very fun and energetic design haha! Orange, white and "black" are fitting for this kind of vibe. Also since #2 was angular, I went with very rounded shapes on this one. I also liked how the forearms become wider towards the hands, so I went with that.

#4 is the second attempt of this design, the first iteration had a futuristic full body suit, but the view was from the side which I didn't find very interesting. Since #3 was energetic, I made this one more dreamy and chill. The neon greenish yellow for the eyes was a very weird but refreshing choice, something I would hardly every do. Magenta, violet and white works I guess. The design of the boots are practically the same as in my old drawing from 2014: Uguu~ Senkan Lolita: Admiral Ensio IV

#5 was probably the most heavily inspired by the designs that friend of mine worked on, something tech/street wear stuff I think it was. I'm not familiar with design stuff really, I just mix in stuff I remember and call it a day haha! Cool yellow and dark blue works well together. For some reason I gave her fox tail too and fit tummy, I usually would draw more soft and plump bodies.
