Description For NationStates; Modeled in DoGa with standard parts.

----

While not the largest ship in the BUSF fleet, the Arbiter of Reality-Class is the largest weapon. In fact it is all weapon - a single spinal high-fraction accelerator that rolls together pretty much every bit of nastiness one could want into a single anti/proton/meson/kinetic/particle/exotic/degenerate nightmare. By the reckoning of the Principle Admiralty if this gun can't kill it, it can't be killed. Fortunately the BUSF has never had to engage a giant purple space kraken with tentacles the radius of Saturn's rings, but we'll leave that particular obstacle for later. The Class is primarily tasked with planetary defense and planetary siege; When not deployed they are found in far orbits around BUSF core worlds where their firepower poses significant deterrent to pretty much anything. When they are deployed it is to reduce entrenched positions; high-output planetary shields, deep bunker networks, or planetary guns of a similar nature. They are also the weapon of last resort in the Inquisition's endless fight against Heresy and Corruption with sustained bombardment able to strip a world down to bedrock and render the surface uninhabitable.

The limitations of these siege guns is that they are slow - relatively - and their barrel is delicate. The forward half must retract inside the second for faster-than-light travel and this is a process that takes minutes in both directions thus rendering the system useless for the duration. They also lack their own high-precision targeting systems and must be fed this data from forward observers. Additionally, they are a Single Giant Gun without a modicum of point defense or mid-range offensive capability of their own and thus fully reliant on escorts to protect them.

Sweet! It looks suitably intimidating, it packs a serious wallop, and (very important for RP) it's a textbook example of a Glass Cannon. What's not to like?
