For Heavensinyoureyes contest .... Photography Contest - II (Check it out ... there are 3 great categories which offers a good variety of options and the deadline is December 31st!)

My entry is for Category B: The Sky in his own Beauty

The photo was taken at one of my favourite walking/photographing locations; a dyke that is surrounded by fields on one side and mountains on the other and stretches for miles. It is truly a marvelous place to walk and on this evening the sky put on a spectacular show.... it was amazing to watch and to try and capture it's beauty! I was lucky to be there.

Please note that there are 3 very discrete watermarks on the image ... hopefully they do not obscure anything.

Some post work done in Camera Raw - levels, clarity, shadows and highlights adjustments to bring out the depth of colour (all adjustments were minor). Then sharpening and a little cropping in PS6, that's about it.
