Submission for Evoke XXIII : Voyage [link]Lots of fun creating this.
Probably 250+ hours of work.Thanks to ~dogparry for base airship models.

was my favorite piece of the pack...but I cannot believe it took 250 hours lol. Unless your considering idle time your computer spends rendering, which doesn't count XD.

no idle time! if i were to count idle time.... lol.
yeah it took 2 days to make the bikes. and then all the details on the street, and each individual building, and the characters inside them, extra offscreen buildings to show up in glass reflections, etc, creating custom textures for buildings and signs in photoshop.

which programs did you use to make this and how!?

Cinema4D for mostly everything, ZBrush to pose bikers, and photoshop to create textures / do some postwork touch-ups.

Everything about it is/was awesome from the visuals which were beautiful to the soundtrack and little aspects of the gameplay like the upgrade system for engines, weapons and such.
When you progress further into the game and can afford better engines, you can break the sound barrier, accelerating from 0-500mph in a few seconds. Even though you'd be speeding along at eye blistering speeds, the frame rate was always smooth and constant.
Man...I'm getting all nostalgic, may have to dust off my PS2 which I haven't played in a few years since I moved to PC gaming and play the game.
I don't know why they haven't produced anymore, XG3 was the last to my knowledge. It was one of the first PS2 games which I got in a Christmas bundle (XG3,GTA III, 2 Controllers, Memory card, PS2, carry case and stand) back in 2001.
