Description
A response to all the somebodies who've asked for a coloring tutorial. My last Process guide is no longer the method I use, so I thought I'd make a new one.Hopefully that wasn't super confusing *-*
The main software is Paint Tool SAI. Total time was about 2.5 hours.

WOW~
just wow!
I hope I can see more tutorials!
I too tend to use both apps (SAI and photoshop) together.
Though I can't get a hang of Photoshop.
I hope I can master this tutorial!

delicious little tips for vivid colors, as well as saturated touch. This will probably influence my next artwork.
Also, I have similar technic for the color picker , and set it to my stylus button because I pick as much as I paint. So, I laughted for the "repeat x10000000". I know it well. Thanks again for sharing , and good work on gathering all this infos visually.

Haha yeayy a fellow pickermasher *w* Your way is better though, frees up your hand for other buttons or snacking haha xD I can't do that cause I permanently mash the stylus buttons when I'm hold the pen.
Btw your paintings look beautiful

"pickermasher" sound like a good drawing ninja clan name tag
Well, after using wacom button on stylus for years I also adopted a weird way to handle stylus.
I'm not sure if its healthy for my hand as I clearly see pain coming faster than on traditionnal drawing. Thanks for the feedback about my artworks, and keep pickermashing rocking

This makes soo much sense as of why your art superior than anime or manga or really just japanese cartoon drawers!
You have the mind of an traditional artist, with self-understanding of the colors to the bristles of your tool (brush).
Truly you put alot into your work. But I can't draw on digital art pads, but I can with paint, a easel and typical artist tools. Your tutorial has really helped me with coloring ideas. Its okay if I use some of your techniques right?

Thanks! Though I love the Japanese simple and clean style just as much as painterly styles, I don't think either one is "superior" really.
And yep, of course you can use the techniques! That's why I made the tutorial *-* Good luck!

I didn't mean superior as better than the commercial or any other of original. I wish there was a 'edit comment' button.
But I had mean't superior than other's cheap knockoff `copy art. Where as other people manipulate the original characters of others and make them act `completely different more or less stupid.
I too like the japanese simple drawn cartoons. It makes it easier to edit and change `when one doesn't have the skills to draw like an artist.

wow i have never thought you will be making a tutorial. thanks, this was the way i started doing artworks but i was afraid of merging messy lineart and colours into 1 layer ( istarted to colour everything on one layer, it is fun!
) but now i see i can try to merge and it can be really amazing. good luck nuri with future works!

Wherever I don't mention "on a new layer" or something like that means I'm working on the same layer.
