I haven't exactly read a lot of The Flash comics, but I'm aware of Thawne's warning to Wally saying that Jai would turn on him. Now while I'd be totally upset if Jai became evil (I love the West twins), it does make for an interesting idea (at least if DC doesn't screw it up).
Since Irey became the new Impulse, I thought it would be interesting if Jai continued the Inertia legacy. Inertia was Impulse's clone, so why not move it to being twins? It made sense to me at least...
And yeah, my scanner made the blue background darker, so it looks too much like the gray ground sidewalk thing... Sorry about that...
EDIT: Well, guess it won't matter now, because of DC's reboot. Don't think the West twins are going to be apart of it...

I've kind of shifted from the idea of Jai being bad (because I finally read Rebirth, and other Flash stories with the twins like "The Wild Wests"), and am pretty glad that didn't happen (but as I said it would've been an interesting idea).
But there were still sooo many stories that they could've made with these two that I'm still pissed off.

Yup now we have no Wally, no west twins, Jay is in an alternate universe and young again, Bart is part of an awful new Titans team, and Barry well he's doing kinda ok

That's because Barry is they're golden boy/iconic Flash. I like Barry, but I'm a little bitter at how they have to ruin all the other members of the Flash family to put him on a pedestal.

wow yeah they did with the reboot he lost all of the parts of his character that were bad like him not really having a connection to Bart or him and Wally dealing with both of them being the Flash or having no connection at all to Wally's kids or his lost decades he has lost all parts of his character that make him not the golden boy my god

I always imagined Jesse Quick tutoring him to master the Speed Force Formula and wear a Johnny Quick-esque costume. He could be Jai Quick! XD Plus, that also works with his tech savvyness.

I forgot that there was a Speed Force Formula! Though I am moving towards the idea that he doesn't get his speed back because I think Jai would be more awesome that way.

No, no. Your ideas are cool too. I just realized he was yet another speedster whose name started with the letter J, and it just clicked for me. But yeah, I can see him being the tech savvy one of the New Young Justice. (And thus clashing with Damian 'cause he thinks he knows everything. XD)

lol. Thanks. I'm all for Jai getting his powers back though (actually I'm up for anything as long as Jai's included. He really doesn't get enough love in the speedster family... at least to me)!
And I can see him clashing with Damian (though for me they clash on other things, like Damian having a thing for his sister, but that's one of my personal preferences). I also have it that they're best friends (along with Colin). But best friends can fight, so it can all work out.

Thanks! Yeah, I don't think it would happen, but of course it's just a "what if" kind of thing. Personally, I like the idea of Jai becoming a tech-savvy person like some people make him out to be.

I like to think that Iris and Jai will always be close in their own odd little way. I just read Kingdom Come and I spent the whole time worrying about how Iris and Wally were fighting on sides of the war. Then I started to wonder weather or not Jai/Barry was sitting at home wondering which of his family members would be coming back.

I like to think that way too. I love Kingdom Come (Alex Ross is just so awesome!), but I didn't like that Wally didn't want Iris to take over the mantle, which was the cause of them fighting on different sides, and Barry (Jai) didn't want anything to do with superheroing. I wish we did see Barry (Jai), even in the sequel to Kingdom Come, and his thoughts on how he could've lost his sister and/or his dad.

The character that I roll play as is kind of Iris from Kingdom Come and Iris from The Flash comics combined into one person so in our roll play Barry and Jai are different people. The way we've set it up, after Iris and Jai's mother is killed Wally become very depressed. he decides that Iris will end up just like her mother, despite the fact that she's really just a female version of him, and demands that all three of his kids stay home. Barry and Jai are able to adjust to being semi-normal people, but Iris refuses to accept her father's decision and what she assumes is his clear favoritism of her brothers(When really he's just trying to keep her safe), putting them at odds.
