I actually did my very first horns with similar steps, just replaced paper mache with strips of newspaper dipped in glue+water.

Yo también hago los cuernos de troll con papel de aluminio y papel maché (y luego limo y pinto, claro). La verdad es que funciona genial, y no pesa nada~

¡Exacto! Aunque para cosas más tochas sí que estoy usando otro método, pero para esto tan enrevesado pasaba olímpicamente de tirarme años lijando, y esto ya me dio el pego.
