I mostly buy them from Etsy or my local craft store Michael's. Β I also pick up things here and there on my trips overseas to Hong Kong, etc.

I made the koi fish from clay. Β The clay and resin could be bought in your local craft store.

Where did you buy the rocks? In a craft store? You only need to ask for "rocks" and that's it?:0 Β Sorry, is that i live in Mexico and i don't think there are many craft stores in my city:I

Oh, my boyfriend brought up a good point. Β You might be able to find it in aquariums or pet stores/fish stores =]. Β They have filler rocks for aquarium tanks . Β Good luck!

i wish i had polymer clay all i can use is crayola air dry
π: 0 β©: 1
SmallCreationsByMel In reply to hollyleaf152 [2013-03-04 16:20:57 +0000 UTC]
That works too though =]. I've used air dry before. One of the challenges that seemed tough was the amount of time you had to work with the piece before it dried too much =\.

Is there anything else I could use besides resin? There aren't many craft stores near I live so its also quite hard to get polymer clay.

Very impressive tutorial! I'm not really a claycrafter, I admit it, though if I was I would give this a go, but it was very well put together and the end result is very cool. Nice seeing your process.

I used liquid fusion clear urethane glue. Bought from local craft store (Michael's). E-6000 epoxy glue would also work =].

So I've mine almost finished its drying! But the rocks i have to put on the side wont stick at all! They keep sliding down so i did everthing else with it. I added a smaller koi also i put a couple of smaller rocks in with them I'm excited they way its coming out just have to figure out the rocks!
π: 0 β©: 1
SmallCreationsByMel In reply to 10stanford [2012-10-03 04:17:18 +0000 UTC]
you can put some glue on the rocks and let the glue dry a little bit, like blow on it until it becomes a bit tacky, then stick it on =]. hope it helps!

SmallCreationsByMel In reply to epicness20 [2012-07-25 01:08:37 +0000 UTC]
I bought the resin in Hong Kong so I don't know the brand. Michael's has resin too and there's a thing called magic water you can find online. Or you can find epoxy resin. Good luck! =]
