Description Let's see if this uploads. I honestly have no idea how these work. You may have to click "Download" to view the animation?

Please be kind; I've never tried this before, and I don't have an animation program.

Unfortunately this is the max size that Photoshop will allow me to animate, so I had to cut out almost 1/3 of the frames I actually had in there (I now have 40, where I had nearly 60), so it's pretty rough and choppy. To add insult to injury, I then had to cut its physical pixel size in half. Needless to say, I can't finish this or clean it up. T___T Someone give me an animation program.

Based loosely on the vajra pestles movements of taijiquan (I made a few changes to allow for the water). Was going to be Katara.

Drawn on Adobe Photoshop CS1, animated in Photoshop Elements 2.

I bet; animation classes would strike me as pretty difficult. x_x And it was 40 frames.

Hey, it seems a little more smooth than the last time I saw it. Did you add more frames in, or is it just me?

wow this is fantastic.
how long did it take you?

I think its lovely and it would be twice as better if it did let you have the 60 frames.

This was done on photoshop?! I never knew it could be done like that. Maybe I should look through my art program sometime and see if I can play around a little. (It probably won't have anything, but it won't hurt to look )

I gotta say this looks fantastic! I have to admit I'm also tempted to try something like this! but I don't think I'll be able to pull of something as cool as this! great job ! Any plans on trying the other elements as well? I'd love to see that.

Dude! Send me the psd file. I'll make it a nice big animation with all 60 frames. 8D This is amazing right now. I'd love to see it without photoshop getting in the way.

Nylak In reply to KlakKlak [2009-01-12 19:00:11 +0000 UTC]

Smebody already offered. And I had already saved over the file. T__T I wasn't planning on using it for anything else, so I didn't see a reason to keep the frames I took out to upload it.

Don't tell anyone. But I'm gonna try to illegally obtain Flash. SHHHH. <-- Everyone else ignore my confession of guilt.

I'm so covert.

Wow, I want your skills.

It may not be as smooth as it could have been but it does the trick anyway! Fantastic job realistically depicting the movements (rather than cartoony noodly movement it's very organic and human)

Gah. x.x I saved the file after I deleted the extra frames for the animation, since I didn't plan on doing anything else with it. *headdesk.*

Thank you for the offer, though. >__<

I like it! A lot! There's some really great movement and it looks like legitimate waterbending.

When I installed photoshop, I swear there was some extra animation program attached to it. Is that what you used? I know nothing... but it'd be fun to play with

wow that is a very good job! It was kinda choppy but like you said that's what is to be expected when you had to cut out some of the frames. But otherwise very well done.
