I've been looking for animal friendly feathers for a while and I think I've found my place!
I bought these from Kullholen.se which is a farm in Sweden where they have different birds and alpacas.
The feathers are collected by hand from the ground at the annual moult and then cleaned without harmful chemicals.
Ethical, locally produced, non-toxic, animal and enviromentally friendly! Love it
And they are beautiful. Check out their website www.kullholen.se to see photos of all the cool birds and adorable alpacas!
Can't wait to make some quills out of these feathers.
In other news: Me and Martin are moving to a new apartment/minihouse this month, yayyy!
We are going to do some work before we can move in, putting up new wallpaper etc.
First thing will be to get my workspace in order. Can't wait!!
So I have to say sorry in advance for being a bit absent! I'll soon be back with the crafty stuff.

Thanks for buying animal friendly feathers!
I raise peacocks and I collect their naturally shed feathers to sell or to use in my own projects. I found out that the craft store peacock feathers are generally from birds that were killed which is really sad.

Yes it's sad and I don't trust stores that don't tell where the feathers comes from.
Nice for you to have your own feathers! ^^

would be easier to get them from a forest or park xD but then you have the problem of not getting a wide variety of feathers

Hmm good idea but I wouldn't say that would be easier xD It's easier to buy awesome looking already cleaned and fairly undamaged feathers Also spares me the time, although walking around forests and parks is awesome, I don't have all the time in the world xD (barely any time

Yes that's true! Would just find too few of them, but now I've found a way to pay someone else for giving me the feathers, AND they are animal friendly. Win win xD
