There is a little problem with appendages evolution... in the ancestral lizards that you draw the first pair of appendages homologous to the wings in dragons, but that dragons still have the normal appendages... wings and arms can't coexist in different appendages, in all the cases of evolution in the nature it can be confirmed.
Excellent illustrations!!

That's why I admit that the 'dragon' illustraited is technicly a wyvern/batwinged dragon, one that has no other forearms, although on some alien planet a hexapod like that may have evolved, it's not something that has occured here, and that's all I can go by, blind speculation'll get me nowhere, I could spend all day doing that XD

This was very interesting
Would this mean that dragons are cold blooded (like reptiles) or warm blooded (like birds)?Warm blooded would probably be needed for the great need of energy needed to flap wings and such heavy body...at the other hand, as reptiles they could use their wings to catch lots of warmth from the sun, thus being able to fly quicker in the morning.... (sorry, ingore the rambling biologist here...)

Probably cold blooded, and like their land-based cousins, they would sun bathe to warm up, as such, a flying lizard like this wouldn't be found in cooler areas much above the Med'.

(Na tis no problem =3)

There is still the existing Draco species of lizard that continue to glide using their extending ribs :3

Nicely done.
