Some important and not so important FF5 characters with their original sprite colors/appearances intact!I always loved how FF9 came really close to that green-skinned-lookin' Gilgamesh. He looks so fiendish.

Ah...gotta love how sometimes the field sprites don't translate to their in-battle sprites (I'm looking at you Galuf, Krile, and Bartz!). Very nice though nonetheless~

I can't believe out of all the characters, you forgot Boco. He was like, plot important or something, I think. Should we dare you to draw chibi versions of Amano's versions of the FFV characters next? I personally just want to see a horribly mutated Guido/Ghido making strategic plans against Exdeath while the party and the others are just sitting there freaked out that there's a monstrous, mutated talking turtle, fearing for their lives that he could potentially eat them.

Wonderful details on the sprites to...IMO..THE most underrated Final Fantasy in the series.
Some people say VI is since it's popularity is only overshadowed by VII....but everyone pretty much knows it now.
Now here we have a truly underrated gem in the series, with a great story, small but likeable cast of characters...and IMO...among THE best Job class systems and the ways to implement them ever known.
(Wonders if you could ever do how the characters look depending on job class. ;d)
Bartz, Lenna, Glauf and Faris look like their respective roles here...Bartz looks kinda dim (but he's still heroic), Lenna sweet, Galuf gruff and a bit sly (he's my favorite of the main characters...too bad he pulled an Aerith. ;_
Cid and Mid we can never forget. I take it you're basing Mid NOT off the GBA version which showed him wearing glasses. Ghido that cranky turtle. XD And of course our dear little Cara; who took up the flame and made Galuf's sacrifice even more meaningful.
You also included the original warriors who sealed Exdeath. They all seem like they represent their respective roles too. Love Kelgar's pose here. ;D
And of course...our villains. V is where we met Gilgamesh the first time I think; and he was instantly loved for his foolishness. XD Then there's his boss and main villain Exdeath. His malevolent and violent deeds should give him the recognition that baddies like Kefka and Sephiroth do.....except he doesn't have much of a personality or as muchΒ of a presence in this game. In order for a baddie to be remembered; he also needs to be stylish and recognizeable. Still; give a man credit where credit is due to a villain so powerful, he had to be sealed initially.
And lastly two feisty females. The sexy bounty hunteress Magissa...and the super hot and sexy redhead Melusine. Not major villains in the game; but it's cool you included them.
Totally love this. A true tribute to one of the series' most overlooked titles.

I have drawn all the jobs but the pictures are shit now that I'm a better artist.
They never really did improve on the Job Class system did they. They just re-used it for other things like FFX-2 and Bravely Default. If it ain't broke don't fix it I suppose.

I still can't get over Cara's sprite. Or Rosa's sprite from FF4. Or any female Final Fantasy sprite that looks like a stroke victim... or like they got stung by a bee above their left eye. I've always wanted to do a realistic recreation of what some of those derpy sprite faces look like.

Yeah, Rosa's sprite is weird. I thought she was nude when I was younger (back when I was too young to appreciate how hot that would've been). Plus she had white hair in the field and brown hair in battle, neither of which matches up to her actual blonde hair.
