Description Late afternoon diffused light, as well diffusion from billowing water spray and a slight mist on the lens allowed me to make this image of my favourite waterfall -- Stirling Falls.

Double-processed RAW blend for luminance in certain elements.

Milford Sound, Fiordland, South Island of New Zealand.

Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
1/50s f/5.6 at 17.0mm iso400

Thanks, mate.

I'm not overly fussed with this image. I find it kind of boring now. Someone requested to add it to the NatureScapes group and I clicked OK.

This waterfall means so much to me. It's the most beautiful waterfall I've ever seen, felt, heard and tasted.

My goal is to move to your beautiful paradise of a country in the next couple of years and devote my life to photodocumenting the magnificent landscape.

I dont think its boring at all... its a very unique look at this falls, not many people have captured it this way!
And your plan of photodocumenting the NZ landsape is a great one! I hope it works out for you! Just dont forget to take me along on some journeys!!

Sorry, I should edit the description and add it, but, I figured my watchers would know this one by now as I've imaged it quite a number of times. It's Stirling Falls, in Fiordland, Milford Sound, South Island of New Zealand. The most beautiful place in the world.

Thanks for letting me know! I love New Zealand, great geology down there! Are you any where near Mt Doom, the Mountain from Lord of the Rings? I have heard that it is in New Zealand somewhere?
