That was my first terraspace image created solely in Photoshop.
I'm glad that you were fooled into thinking that it was an actual photograph.
The other images in my gallery are proper astrophotographs.

Pretty cool. I found myself looking at it too closely, however... I caught myself asking "Is that a H-alpha region or a false-colour image..." I'm such a nerd.
Still, the fact that I was actually convinced by the image says something about the quality. Well done!

I sometimes wonder where I would be had I continued down the path of digitally-created spacescapes and terraspace. I created that about three years ago, and, I was also surprised as to how well it turned out. Attention to detail, I guess.
I think you may find the rest of my gallery a lot more rewarding and satisfying; considering you have an understanding of astronomy.

I originally started out with the intention to stick with digitally-crafted spacescapes. I then got thinking that it would be far better to capture the glory of the heavens firsthand. The rest is history.

I didn't actually get around to pursuing space art in Photoshop. I've instead, focused myself on photographing the heavens.

I've totally lost all those skills involved in using Photoshop to create images like that. Rather, I'm more concerned with image adjustment nowadays. Oh, well.
