Calamity's egg hatched almost four weeks ago and Amelia was growing increasingly worried. She's done all the research she could on Wyngro and Wynglings and most get their first upgrade within the first few days of hatching, Calamity seemed to be straggling behind. Amelia was almost worried to the point she felt she should've returned the two eggs to the hatchery with Alma, where they could grow up proper among their own kind. Amelia quickly shoves the thoughts out of her head, no, she couldn't have done that, she loved having two wonderful daughters in her life, she just had to try harder, for them, her little Calamity and Jane. But the concerns kept growing and piling up onto one another in her mind. After all she had heard that Haru already had three upgrades and Purisma, born the same day as Jane, already had a few of her own! Surely Calamity should have gotten even one of the most basic upgrades by now, least that's what her books had told her.

Moving on into the small kitchen she starts to make the batter for a celebratory cake, she knew Calamity was the most relived to see her sister hatched in time for the anniversary event and excited to see that the rumored eye trait had passed onto Jane. Amelia, mixing the batter, made note to ask around if the eye trait came with any side effects as only those born on the anniversary date had obtained them, even more having gotten rare pelt colors, none of those transferred to Jane though as she still sported the known purple.

Mixing the batter thoroughly she hears a huge ruckus, must be Calamity rushing down the stairs to ask how to pronounce a word or reach the top shelf from her book case. Oh did the girl love to learn just as her mother does, she knew she'd have to fulfill her earlier promise, telling Calamity she'd teach her how to swim and take her to the library after to find some books on magic. She knew she couldn't learn it till she was older, but she wanted to decide which magic would be best for her to learn when she was able to either learn on her own or take classes for.

"Momma, momma look!" Screamed the small wyngling.

Amelia sets the small batter bowl onto the counter, in order to give her lovely daughter the undivided attention she deserved.

"Yes dear- OH" She cuts herself off with a gasp, noticing the small wyngling sitting in front of her.

"Look momma I got my first upgrades! What do you think?"

Amelia is shocked, it seemed as though all of her worries from before melted away, she was a good mother just as she had hoped she was.

"...momma?"

She snaps out of the self induced shock and swoops her daughter up into her arms, crying tears of joy.

"Oh sweetie I'm so proud!" She exclaims, dancing around the room with her, glad that she was proven wrong.

Calamity was well off with her and Harper, she just turned out to be a late bloomer compared to the other wynglings, but Amelia didn't care. She was just happy that her baby is growing up happy and healthy, as any wyngling should.

After the mini celebration she tells Calamity to go grab decorations from the cabinets of her choosing as she finishes the batter to start the cake. Soon finding more sprinkle containers than she knew she had and lots of fondant used to make small shapes of all kinds for when the cake had been fully baked and ready for the decorations.

It was a fun filled day indeed, one where Amelia felt relieved at last to know she was doing something right for her lovely daughters.
