Wow. Never knew Corseila held such resentment towards Elizabeth.

Yeah, Cordelia really doesn't like Elizabeth, irrationally so.

(In reverse order)
Cordelia I'm honestly disappointed at the sheer lack of creativity in your answer.Β For someone who came up with one of the most creative ways to fix Martin in the past this solution just lacks the finesse that we've come to expect of you.Β I mean if you wanted to take her kind hearted nature into account when corrupting her than all you have to do is use her kindness against her by cursing her so that.......You know what I think I'm going to just drop this idea on the main AuA page.Β Hope you like taking Martha's old job as resident butt monkey.
Vivian it makes complete sense why you feel so conflicted, after-all there is no one else who's worthy of matching your amazing powers of darkness in your weekly battles of good verses evil.
Martha I completely understand why you'd be against the corruption of children, even though they are generally the most susceptible to transformation magic.Β I mean having one or more tiny humans "brewing in your belly" is bound to change your perspectives on a lot of things even though remorselessly corrupting/transforming them would be characteristic of the villain you claim to be.
And Alexis I could see that working if you were unquestionably loyal to the "dragon mother".Β But a greater power has always held sway over you.Β (Opens a box of jelly and cream filled donuts)Β I mean take these things all sweet and innocent, but with the right application of magic they could be turned into pork-buns which would be more to the dragon mother's liking.

Cordelia: I understand the disappointment, but...let's be honest. That little girl is way more clever than she even realizes, and if that doesn't foil a clever plan to "Corrupt" her, then her insane amount of dumb luck will instead. If you're going to take down someone like her, you need a direct, simple plan with an almost absolute certainty to succeed. Anything less is just a waste of time.
Vivian: E-exactly! A demon is nothing without her Arch-Enemy, right!?
Martha: ...God, don't remind me about that shit. Truth is, while I may not seem like it, I've always had a bit of a soft spot for children. I suffered a lot as a kid, and I had to take care of my sister for quite a while. While I don't mind screwing over some schmuck on the street, when it's a kid that's suffering...well, things are different, y'know? Talk to most criminals and they'll say the same thing.
Dragon Alexis: Mwa ha ha ha ha! Sweets no longer hold dominion over me...I hold dominion over them! As a Dragon, it is in my inner nature to horde and covet. Among my treasures are the most rare, succulent sweets imaginable. My greed for gold, and sweets, knows no bounds, but unlike before, it's not a source of embarrassment. It is a source of Pride!Β

No Cordelia to take down someone like Elizabeth one need only study her fears, insecurities, and weaknesses and properly manipulate those in order to corrupt them.Β Martha and Alexis gave excellent answers because they exploited those while you didn't.Β Take you for example all I have to do is drop a comment back in the main AuA page that ties your form to the morality of your actions like the one I just entered and either your nature will doom you to looking like a child, or you'll be forced to become a kinder Cordelia.
Correct as without your equal and opposite you'd cease to be Vivian Queen of darkness and just be Vivian the imp.
So you can empathize with the plight of the suffering.Β You were right when you said that you and Amanda where a lot alike as you are far more like her than you realize.Β Seriously you claim to be a villain and yet when it comes to children who are the most susceptible to physical transformation due to being more malleable than their older counterparts.Β A true villain would use that to their advantage, you instead take pity on them more like a hero would.
(Shakes head in disappointment and pulls a cream doughnut) You misunderstand me.Β I'm not saying that your love of sweets was a weakness that the dragon mother helped you conquer, what I'm saying is that your love of sweets is so ingrained into the fiber of your being that no amount of transformative power could change that in you.Β You speak of the dragon's nature to horde, but to hoard sweets and simply sleep on them isn't to enjoy them as you love too.Β (MKalut begins siphoning a small amount of Tiamat's corruptive power and channels it into the doughnut causing it to vibrate in his hand)Β You know that sweets are meant to be eaten and enjoyed and not hoarded to use as a bed as any sweet that isn't used for it's anointed purpose (at that moment the power of Tiamat causes the doughnut to pop up in his hand and transform into a pork bun that more fits the diet of a dragon) may has well have never been a sweet at all.

Cordelia: I'll be perfectly honest with you then. I don't want a plan that will take a long time. I don't want to deal with that little conniving bitch anymore than I have to. If that means nuking her mind and building it from scratch, so be it. At least I wont' have to listen to her incessant chattering. She won't be there to try and confuse my best friend with her silver tongue. Do you know how confused Vivian is thanks to that bitch? She doesn't deserve anything creative.
Vivian: R-right! Mwa ha ha ha ha ha! The Queen of Darkness can't exist without a Queen of Light to oppose her! MWa ha hah ha!
Martin: If you ask me, not treating children horrifically doesn't exactly make you a hero. All it means is that you're not an irredeemable monster. I may be a villain, but I'm not a complete and utter asshole. I don't like seeing children cry on the street, just like most people.
Dragon Alexis: Shut up, heathen! I...I can enjoy the sw-sweets whenever I want! P-perhaps I should just...just...uh...hoard them in my stomach!

MKalut In reply to Odachi65 [2018-02-07 23:05:31 +0000 UTC]
Of course she's confused the very first friend she ever made is an angel who should be her sworn enemy and she has to hide that from her parents and mentors.Β Instead of something to be proud of society has made it so that her friendship is something that she should be ashamed of.Β That's why she wishes that Elizabeth was a demon so that she wouldn't have to hide it, yet she cares for her friend and doesn't want for her to change as a person.Β And you, even though you claim to be her friend you do nothing to support her and instead let your personal feelings add fuel to the fire.Β All you'd have to do is spin her friendship with Elizabeth in a way that would allow Vivian to retain her pride as a demon and the problem would be just as easily resolved.Β (Drops another comment in the AuA page)Β Perhaps you need to learn to be a better servant to Vivian before you can learn to be a better friend.
Exactly.Β There's no shame in having a rival that pushes you to greater heights than what you'd be capable of on your own.
Hehe.Β No you are definitely a hero.Β You sacrificed opportunities to enhance your own power for the sake of your sister many times, and that has made you a hero to her.Β You may not take actions on as grand a scale as Amanda but you are willing to sacrifice of yourself for the sake of those you care for, so yes you are fundamentally more like her than you're willing to admit.Β And soon you'll be the first hero that a small child or two will ever know.Β If you were half the villain you claim to be you'd have ditched your sister long ago for personal gain, but you haven't and that makes you a hero.Β Your tsundere attitude towards your own everyday heroic's only makes you cuter as a girl.
(MKalut places the pork bun back into the doughnut box and begins to channel more of Tiamat's power into the sweets causing the remaining ones to begin to vibrate.)Β No if you could have done that you'd have done it long ago.Β All power comes at a cost (one of the doughnuts pops up and transforms into a second meat bun), and your's has come at the expense of being able to enjoy sweets.Β (A third doughnut pops up and transforms into a pizza bun)Β Dragons are a well know as carnivores, and carnivores posses far fewer taste-buds than creatures that also eat plants.Β (Another doughnut transforms into a meat based pastry)Β Sweets no longer taste as satisfying to you and as such you try to deny this truth by sleeping on them rather than eating them.Β (Two more doughnuts pop up and transform)Β Tiamat may have given you power, but she took your ability to ever enjoy another sweet as you once did.Β (Yet another two doughnuts pop up and transform)Β And now you sleep on that which you've loved most as you radiate Tiamat's power.Β (The final four doughnuts pop up and transform at that moment)Β I wonder whether your hoard is still made of gold and sweets, and not gold and salted meat?

Cordelia: You can feel free to believe whatever you like. If you ask me, Elizabeth is just going to put ideas in Vivian's head that will get her killed. I'm trying to protect her from that. Elizabeth wants her to become...nice, or something, and if Vivian goes down that route, the rest of demonkind might see her as a traitor. I'm not about to let some little winged bitch put my friend's life in danger.
Vivian: Of course! I should go challenge her right now!
Martin: I don't think you understand me. A hero is selfless, putting others' lives above their own. What I do, is selfish. I value another's life over that of everyone else, even my own to a degree. If people must suffer so that my loved ones can be happy, then so be it. That's what makes me a villain. When the world is cruel to me, I don't rise above it like that fool Amanda. I get even, and I take what I want. Right now, circumstances may be conspiring against me, forcing me into a path you might consider "heroic", but who knows what the future may hold? Perhaps I'll find a way out of this situation, and achieve the power I deserve. I know I've suffered enough for it.
Dragon Alexis: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
*She falls to her knees, tears trailing down her face.*
Dragon Alexis: My goddess...has...betrayed me! I have lost that which gave me endless pleasure! ...I will have my revenge! No matter what!

In case you haven't noticed Vivian's parents are very soft by demon standards, and yet they hold a sizable amount of power within Infernos.Β But perhaps you'd prefer it if Vivian lived up to your ideal of what a demon should be (drops a new comment on the main AuA page).Β However, this isn't really about Vivian and Elizabeth's friendship is it, its about you not liking that she looks like a childhood friend of yours who died young and you believing that she is the reincarnation of your old friend.Β Now lets suppose for a moment that Elizabeth was once your childhood friend would you really want her to be able to remember her old life?Β Yes she'd remember you, but she'd also remember her own death and being rarely are able to stay sane with the knowledge of such trauma.Β Would you really wish such an experience on her?Β Maybe if she had found you first things would have turned out differently (Drops a second comment).Β Or maybe you just need to learn that nothing is ever as bad as your imagination makes it seem, and that just because we you don't like a situation doesn't mean its not for the better (drops a final comment that should cause a cold shiver to run down Cordelia's spine).Β Like I said back in the first comment have fun with Martha's old job.
You go do that.Β And be sure to get some ice-cream after you win as it always tastes sweeter after a victory.
Haha no I understand you better than you think you understand yourself.Β Maybe you could argue that if it were just your sister that you are a villain, but its not just your sister now is it?Β The moment you learned you were pregnant your first thoughts were on the well being of the baby.Β You could have decided not to give it a chance and to take back your life, but you didn't when you placed its needs above your own.Β And that isn't the only example of you placing others before yourself as during your blind date with Janet when you couldn't pay the bill you took full responsibility so that she wouldn't have to spend the evening cleaning dishes and then end up on the blacklist.Β No Martha you are a selfless person by nature who places the needs of those few that she bonds with above herself.Β And I doubt you've ever sacrificed someone else for the sake of Veronica so again I will point out that you are in fact a good person and a hero.Β If you can't figure that out for your self by the time the baby comes along, than the second law of tg will surely see to it that you never go back to bring a male.
Than you should take this opportunity to begin secretly assembling those who could defeat Tiamat while making it appear that you are still serving her.Β After all could you possibly stand idly by as she prepares to reshape the world into her own image forever destroying all the centuries of human pastry creations?

Cordelia: Oh god, I just saw that last comment. That is beyond cruel, you know that? Leave my parents out of this! I mean, whatever, I don't care about them anyway.
Vivian: Y-yeah! I'm going to go do just that!
Martin: Gaaagh, I just haven't, uh, had the chance to sacrifice anyone for her power yet! O-once I do, I know for a fact that I'll do so! I just, um, need a good chance to! As for my eventual progeny, it's important for an evil mastermind to keep his descendants loyal and happy, otherwise they'll turn on him and join the heroes in an attempt to foil his evil plans! I'm just, uh, planning for the future is all! S-see, I am a villain after all! Mwa ha ha ha?
Dragon Alexis: Tiamat's followers on earth are still weak...I'll need to sabotage the efforts at once. For the glory of human sweets, I will fight!

(Thinks to self.Β Cordelia's not thinking about her dislike for Elizabeth at the moment, Vivian isn't being plagued by self doubt anymore, Martha is clearly in a state of denial, and Dragon Alexis is now plotting against her master for the sake of her love of sweets.Β Well that's about as close to a total victory as I'll ever get.)Β Well I leave everyone to their devices.

Cordelia: Actually...uh...is there anything I can offer you to...uh...not steal her memories? She's damaged goods, you see. Vincent: Hmm, well kid I will admit the offer is tempting and I like you so....we can strike a deal. Now I can't cancel the contract, client is far too wealthy and well connected for that not to mention the damage it would do to my reputation. However I can be persuaded to switch targets, regardless of how hard it will be to find another angel, for about....lets go with one tenth of the price. Which is about....
*Vincent flips through the book again*
Vincent: Ahh here it is, it's about 300 Thousand Dollars in either money or memories. Good thing I like you, usually I go for half the asking price on deals like this.Β

Cordelia: ...Fine, I'll accept the deal. Hmm...let's see...who could I get memories from.
*A cruel grin grew on Cordelia's face.*
Cordelia: So...what about the memories of say...a psychotic stalker who was born as a hideous monster and only now has a form worth looking at? I can arrange a meeting with her pretty easily. In fact, she's probably following me right now...

blackviper1 In reply to Odachi65 [2018-03-02 06:57:12 +0000 UTC]
*Vincent chuckles to himself*
Vincent: Sorry kid won't be that easy. Not only because if you want to trade memories you need to bring me the memories themselves, already extracted and not the person with them...although this doesn't include your own memories, but I'm not doing that work for you. As for your stalker over there-
* Vincent points at a random bush from which Chelsea was hiding*
Vincent: Her memories, while relatively unique, aren't all that valuable. If I had to guess they'd be worth about 40 thousand to the right buyer.Β

Odachi65 In reply to blackviper1 [2018-03-04 04:38:17 +0000 UTC]

blackviper1 In reply to Odachi65 [2018-03-04 07:08:45 +0000 UTC]
Vincent: Well there isn't a definitive system but...
*Vincent once again opens his book and flips through the pages, looking at the book causes a minor headache to briefly flare in Cordelia*
Vincent: The usual formula is Joy and/or potential skills one might acquire from a memory multiplied by how unique that memory is. Hence why the Angel's memories are so valuable, she has a high Joy factor and their incredibly unique. Of course there is also people who want highly specific memories that fall outside of these parameters, but the prices of those are usually negotiated before the acquisition.Β
*Vincent closes his book and Cordelia's headache disappears.*

If all the pieces are still there after you break it and reassemble, then I wouldn't consider it 'replacement.' It's only 'kill and replace' if you toss pieces out.
I think Dragon Alexis has the right idea. Use love. Be the family Elizabeth WANTS to have. And if that new family wants to add MORE family to their dragon flight, then more the merrier!Β
π: 0 β©: 1
Odachi65 In reply to alexwarlorn [2018-02-04 00:30:23 +0000 UTC]
That first question really comes to down Philosophy. If you were to break something down into pieces and reassemble it in a different way, is it really the same things afterwards? Or alternatively, it brings up the "Ship of Theseus" paradox in philosophy. The ship of Theseus is an ancient ship, and over the years it had to be repaired. With each repair, less of the original wood remained, until all of it was new wood. Is it really the "Ship of Theseus" anymore? Are it's components important, or is it still the "Ship of Theseus" since it's shape and the idea of it has remained the same? Philosophy is fascinating!
On lighter notes, yeah, Dragon Alexis has a pretty good idea going. Using positive emotions to corrupt her might be one of the better choices.
