hey hey hey.Made a painting thing, depicting one of the last scenes in my Webcomic Tempus ---> [link] <------ When the main character Cassie does some crazy bare back riding through the woods with a horde of demons after her, you know, the usual. That kind of crazy shit.
This paper, was absolutely god damn awful, I swear to god, it was just the cheapest shit, it was so flimsy and thin, the watercolours just soaked through it was terrible. Really made painting an absolute bitch. That aside, I'm fairly pleased with how this turned out :U horses aren't really my strong point. :c
anywho, Watercolour, pen, and acrylic paint on some shitty A3 watercolour paper.

What kind of watercolors did you use?
I have a thing of Sargeant ones, and they...they end up really chalky after they dry, and somehow I don't think they should be. XD

I'm using Windsor and Newton Cotman watercolours, good quality and not too expensive. Ok, the chalkiness, haha we talked about this on CF for a bit in the WIP thread.
Basically, if it's chalky, it's very cheap, transparent and won't mix incredibly well. I advise going out and picking up another set of pan colours, but this time, look at the colour pans, if they've got a slightly 'greasy' look to them, they're going to be fairly good quality, (mean's they're 'semi-moist') but check out the thread on CF because Gecko gave some really good links to buy them C:
