actually this is a very bad mistake in shading. its what we like to call "pillow shading" and its a mistake alot of artists make. you shouldnt just use on single color and put its setting to multiply! you have such a wide variety of colors to shade with! look up some color theory's and experiment when coloring and shading! best luck to your art!

style or not, it is a mistake. shading is not a darker color or an overlay! its so much more than that. why take the short way out when you can explore so many more colors and amd experiment! (:
