Description

Let's continue with the LDPD and the next space station as well as the Varro-Class battleship.

The redesign of the Varro-Class battleships still has a length of 1222.52 meters and a width of 789.98 meters. The height increases from bow to stern from 184 m to exactly 200 m. Also, the armament is the same with twelve 1200-mm plasma guns and eighteen 500-mm guns, as on the first release of the redesign.

I've just reworked the textures for this model as well as some details like the windows.

The new Rascal-Class-Space-Stations are 745×429.5×108.4 meters tall. The stations are only half as high as the original design, but the length and width has become more than four times as large.

In the hangar fit now a maximum of 3 squadrons, that is a wing. In addition, 10 freighters the size of a Tel'tak fit into the cargo compartment of the hangar.

Like the redesign of the Wretch-Class, the Rascal-Class stations are now also armed.

Armament:

28 x Plasma Guns, cal. 30 mm

21 x Plasma Guns, cal. 120 mm

4 x Plasma Guns, cal. 500 mm

2 x Plasma Guns, cal. 1200 mm

In addition, these space stations are the only facilities of the Lucian Alliance to have launcher for interplanetary missiles. These missiles are equipped with multiple warheads consisting of up to 10 warheads each with 5 Gt explosive force.

In total there are 3 launcher devices on board, each with 6 missiles. Reloading the launcher during a battle is not possible because the launcher must be loaded "manually".

Above all, the Rascal space stations serve as supply bases and as monitoring stations for strategically particularly important locations.

However, if the military and political situation makes it necessary, these space stations will also be used to defend strategically important planets. To this end, the space stations were built so that just once two Varro-Class battleships, thanks to their extremely powerful tractor beams and their tremendously powerful propulsion system, can move a Rascal-Class space station to a new location.

In the background you can see the two Varro-Class battleships Olar and Yomyr, who have just brought the Rascal-Class Station Miran in the orbit of the class M-moon Lenides in the Xistriophus-Solar-System.

This mission caught the attention of the Majabooto Sentinel Armada. The Hokumat then sent the Pairmetor-class battleship Aram Sadiq and the Sakire-Class Carrier Surya Ayyangar into the Xistriophus-Solar-System.

This solar system lies on the border between the Lucian Alliance and the Motahed Hokumat Majabooto, whereby the affiliation of this system between the two star nations is controversial.

The reason for this quarrel and the saber-rattling seen here is:

On the one hand, the gas giant Meinope, around which the moon Lenides revolves, has military strategically valuable resources.

On the other hand, the Moon Lenides Class M is almost made for a mining and processing plant, which makes the mining of these resources relatively easy.

And you can find on the moon itself a number of plants whose ingredients are extremely interesting for the production of medicines.
