Description
I made this figure while working at McFarlane toys, all the pistons moved with the limbs and in the prototype even his fingers were articulated. (The fingers were fused in production.) There were over one hundred and ten pieces in the prototype but it was scaled back a bit for production due to cost.Related content

Thank you, it was my first figure so I always see the flaws in it but I'm glad people seem to like it

Very cool. When you were working at McFarlane Toys, were you working in their Bloomingdale/ Butler, NJ studio?

I have this figure! I remember when I bought it that I was AMAZED at all of the articulated pistons and joints. I still reference it for inspiration from time to time and keep it at my desk at work.
Incredible work!

Thanks for the compliment. That was my first figure, when I look at it now I see all kinds of things I would change. When I opened mine I realized that the shoulders and upper arms were put together backwards in the factory in China. I hope they didn't do that on all of them

A few companies have made the T-800. I was pretty happy with the way the McFarlane figure turned out, they did panagraph the feet up to much so they look a little big to me.

when I first got this figure I popped the knee joint in the opposite direction and snapped the piston connecting the thigh. It took less than 1 minute before I managed to break it. I always seem to find a way to break every McFarlane toy I open....haha
This is still the most intricate toy McFarlane will ever produce in my opinion.
I can't imagine them ever topping this.
You did an amazing job......and it looks great next to my Terminator 3 Arnald holding the casket.

Thanks you for the kind words its always nice to hear. And when I still worked at McFarlane we used to joke that our figures self destruct on contact with air as soon as you opened the blister pack. Todd would get the the lowest prices he could on figure production in China so I think they were useing regrind plastic. That's when they sweep all the PVC flashing off the floor at the end of the day grind it up melt it down and through it back in the injector. It gets weaker every time you do that.

haha that's hilarious.
You've kind of helped solidify rumours about McFarlane products...haha
and still McFarlane toys have better material compared to companies like Neca....shocking!!

Very nice work, shame they fused the fingers in production, especially because getting them to articulate must have taken a huge amount of time.

The prototype was 18 inches tall so I had some room to work but whenever you hear "we are going to have to glue that solid" it's kind of a let down.
